Showtime Motorsports Adds Evan Slater as 3rd Driver in their 2023 TA2 Line Up

Franklin, TENNESSEE (January 9, 2022)  As the 2023 Trans Am Championship season draws near, the Showtime Motorsports team is officially announcing that Evan Slater will join their TA2 Franklin Road Apparel driver line up.  Slater is no stranger to the TA2 category, he finished the 2022 season 8th in the overall TA2 Championship with a highest finish of 2nd place - in the rain - at Lime Rock Park, three top 5 finishes and 7 top 10's. Evan will be driving the #6 Franklin Road Apparel Chevrolet Camaro for the full 2023 season.   

“I’m very excited to be joining the Showtime Motorsports/Franklin Road Apparel team for the 2023 Trans Am TA2 season.  I cannot think of a better team or group of individuals to race with, and I think it’s the best place to pursue our championship efforts.  The energy that Ken has built under the Showtime tent is incredible, and I cannot wait to be a part of it,” Evan shared.

Team Owner Ken Thwaits also shared, “We are excited to have Evan Slater join our team! Evan had a great rookie season in TA2 last year, so we look forward to building on that momentum and taking him to the next level.”

The Showtime Motorsports team is now equipped with three proven TA2 competitors as Slater joins Dylan Archer and Michele Abbate.  In addition, the team is campaigning two TA cars for the full 2023 schedule, with the #7 Franklin Road Apparel Camaro driven by team owner and driver Ken Thwaits and teammate Justin Marks alongside him.
