Amy and EJ Fitzgerald of Cool Hand Customs weren't the first to stuff a Gen III Hemi in a Plymouth Duster. That didn't stop them from swapping a Hemi drivetrain from a 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8 into a 1974 Duster and making it look like the Plymouth factory put it there. Amy and EJ then built the rest of the car Pro Touring-style to complement the Hemi's horsepower chops. Amy and EJ found the Duster in Texas. It was in good shape but needed some bodywork to bring it up to snuff. The trunk pan was replaced with Auto Metal Direct sheetmetal, and the quarter panels were repaired with Goodmark lower quarter patches. Cool Hand also replaced the windshield and backlight with Auto Metal Direct glass. Thanks to aggressive styling and a potent 5.7L Hemi engine, the 2013 Ram 1500 was an impressive truck from the factory. Seeing room for improvement however, the Truck Tech guys sought to upgrade the Ram's capabilities and make it an attractive alternative to a more costly Cummins diesel-equipped truck. The truck was christened "Hemi Hauler" and received an improved stance, better towing capability, and increased engine performance using one of these Truck Tech Hemi Hauler 2013 Ram 1500 completer combos. In stock trim it made 305 hp on the chassis dyno. After its Hemi Hauler transformation, the Ram improved to 431 hp and 434 lbs.-ft. of torque. To keep an eye on the newly supercharged engine, the Ram's cabin was equipped with Auto Meter Sport Comp air-fuel ratio and boost vacuum gauges fitted inside an Auto Meter pillar pod. Anzo projector headlights are also a smart upgrade for daily drivers, while IPCW taillights are both a functional and stylish upgrade. Finally, to reinforce its "Hemi Hauler" moniker, the Ram was equipped with a set of K Source snap-on towing mirrors. Luke Merrill of Tinman 2 Kustoms built this slick 1940 Chevy for his mom. Nicknamed Tinmama, the car was a long-running project that Luke completed in time for the 2019 SEMA Show—where he finished in the Top 3 in the Battle of the Builders Young Guns class, and in the Top 12 overall. The Chevy sits on a highly-modified stock chassis with a Nova front subframe, an independent rear suspension from a 2017 Mustang, and a custom airbag setup. The front suspension was rebuilt with parts included in the Tinman 2 Kustoms Tinmama 1940 Chevy suspension combo. QA1 Stocker Star NA shocks with rod end links sit front and rear, and Energy Suspension bushings were used all around. Truck Tech's Lawrence 'LT' Tolman wanted to build a truck in the style of the ones he remembered from high school in the 1990s. He picked up a 4WD 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab with 258,000 miles and got to work. LT rebuilt the worn-out front suspension; our Truck Tech Old School 2002 GMC Sierra suspension and brake parts combo includes Mevotech control arms, Cardone CV axles, and Timken wheel hub assemblies. He then gave the truck some attitude with a front-end leveling kit, a mild lift in the rear, and new shocks; our combo includes a MaxTrac Suspension leveling kit and 1 in. tall rear lift blocks, plus a set of Summit Racing™ truck shocks.
