Man, 44, shot near North Arlington and North Forge intersection in Akron

Akron police responded to a shooting of a 44-year-old male around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a report from the department.

Police had been dispatched to the area of North Arlington and North Forge Street, where they located the victim, who was then transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, per the report.

Officers have not located the suspect, and the department will continue to investigate, according to the report.

The police department is encouraging anyone who has information to call the detective bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip. They can also provide information anonymously to the Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS or text TIPSCO to 274637.
