For 29 seasons in a row, high school students and local law enforcement have taken to Sonoma Raceway’s world-famous quarter-mile drag strip throughout the summer months. In conjunction with the popular Sonoma Drags program, Top the Cops gives students the chance to race law enforcement, competing in full uniform in their official vehicles, on the same drag strip as the top professional racing series.

With two big events, fans will get the chance to interact with drivers and give back to the local community. Karting For A Cause and the 16th Annual Eric Medlen Nitro Night promise not only heart-pounding fun, but also a heartwarming mission as all proceeds benefit local children and families in need through Speedway Children’s Charities, Sonoma, the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway.

    Coming off a week where Kyle Larson received news that his playoff waiver was approved by NASCAR, the Hendrick Motorsports driver took to his home track and roared from 23rd on the final restart to win his second career Toyota/Save Mart 350. Larson has now won on both configurations of Sonoma Raceway, dominating the Carousel layout in 2021 and conquering The Chute layout in 2024.
