[PLATFORM] HowTo: get proper technical issue help!

If you don't need the community to troubleshoot your issue but you would just like to report a bug go to Bug Reports

If you need to contact EA for direct customer support like if something is wrong with your account, EA Help is located HERE.

 

In order for the community to help you, make sure your topic contains the useful information needed! But first:

Check + use the search functions to see if the answer/issue is not already on:

No threads out there to write in about the issue and you want to make a thread? Then provide the information needed!

All Platforms

  • Add the platform to the start of the subject of the thread like this thread but with [PC], [XBONE], [PS5] etc.
  • Make the title descriptive of the issue you are having. "help" is bad, "error 12345 after blackscreeen during start-up" is good
  • Describe the problem in detail
  • Mention when it stopped working and if it has worked before
  • Mention all the steps you have tried to solve the issue and how you performed those steps
  • Mention any error messages, pictures are better
  • Attach a screeenshot or link to a video of your issue
  • Mention if a proper power cycle (holding down power button while device is disconnected from power, then wait 5 minutes) has helped the issue

PC

  • Mention full computer specifications + what graphics driver you have installed
  • Make and attach a DXDiag.txt to your thread - see here how
  • Try playing after a proper clean boot as described here and tell if that makes any difference
  • For crashes try looking at the Windows reliability report and Event Viewer information for relevant information

Well where is the help then for this unplayable state? Is this not going on your Trello/JIRA boards as a high priority, considering people cant play? More than 50 people have posted on this, but not even an acknowledgement that EA/Dice is looking into it. Getting more and more frustrated and looking to get a refund soon.
