Troubleshooting advice for 2042 issues

it's true for me too, i try couple hours to doing many test with a user.cfg and with origin advanced launching option but no way  to see any change with the 'render.drawscreeninfo'

I have a i7 6700k(4 cores 8 threads) with 16GB ram and GTX1070

This fix only gives very little boost in GPU utilization but not a lot of GPU

I had tried 

Thread.ProcessorCount 4
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 6, 7, 8

In game Render.DrawScreenInfo does shows job threads properly with 6,7,8 but task manager still shows all 8 threads being nearly 100% loaded.

GPU utilization increased from 30-40% to 40-50%, but FPS still float at around ~50fps (G-Sync works in full screen only, not borderless, and this make it looks "smoother").

Maybe it only help on new CPU with more than 8 threads available

You can try use command to off count

Thread.MaxProcessorCount -1, -2

Make sure when you create the user.cfg that it is set to Read only, otherwise Battlefield will add some weird text into it and it will not work as it should. I tried setting 8-12-16 and saw the difference in the drawscreeninfo.

Will do some testing tonite if its more stable with or without these settings on the 10900K

Found this possible fix, maybe give it a try.

• type/search for "Exploit Protection" in your windows startmenu
• click on the tab "program settings" and "+ add programs to customize”
• "choose exact File Path", navigate to and select BF2042.exe 
• customize this new BF2042 entries settings, scroll down to “Control Flow Guard”, check “Override System Settings” and turn “Control Flow Guard” manually off. 
• Apply

Restart your system.

I have spend $70 on this game for it not to even let me play, it says I have an error code 1:4688822970:15021:-7A or the last digit and number (7A) being different but still not allowing me to load into the game

this morning I'm playing, no problem. At the end of midday I want to play and 6 times I crash, 6 times I redo my settings each time, 6 times I stuck with the intro and still impossible to play.

(for each criash there is the creation of a crash dump file).
How did this shoddy work get sold? How is it possible that in 2021, companies like EA and Dice with such incompetent developers manage to steal millions of players?
CDprojetc with less problem rembursed players, for a unfinished product developed with a trowel should be reimbursed.
