What’s New
Version 4.10.0
Now you can set your preferred charging limit for your Polestar 2 in the app. Whether you're performing a quick charging action or adjusting detailed settings on the charging page, you have the flexibility to customise and adjust your charging preferences. This new functionality requires car software later than P3.0.
Additionally, the app now supports our newest car models, the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. You can effortlessly connect and control these vehicles using the Polestar app.

Improving but needs these features
Would like to see utilization of live tiles on iOS like Rivian just added ability to get live visual updates on charge level from the lock screen. Also changing maximum charge level from the app would be nice. If I set car to 80% limit but then decide I want to go on road trip. I don’t want to walk into car every time just to change the charging limit.. — Upgraded from 1 star to 4 due to improvements made over past year. App is much more responsive than what it used to be. Nice job!
Edit! Multiple attempts required for any action
The scheduled climate start and charging issues have been resolved. The latest version of the app is much clearer and functions very well, I noticed an improvement on the impromptu remote start function as well.
Why does the lock/unlock and climate on/off function take multiple tries each time before it kicks in? Similarly, I have often found that my climate and charging timers set in the app just won't stick. For example, when plugging in at night in the garage, I swapped a previous timer from 11:45-6:00 to 11:00-6:00. Two minutes later, I reopened the charging panel, and it's back to an 11:45 start. When I remotely try to start the climate when leaving the office, it regularly cannot sync with the vehicle and will take me as many as 4 or 5 clicks before turning on the temperature. I also have an active timer to start the climate in the morning for my commute with an 7:40 departure. I would say 3/5 days it functions as normal, but 40% of the time I'm sitting in a cold car.
Better than it used to be
Obviously for all these specific apps there’s a lack of choice- use it or nothing at all. That said, it’s improved but could use more improvement:
- Better phone as key. PAK works ok enough with decent signal or no signal at all, but if there’s a sliver of signal, it seems like the app is trying to connect to the network before servicing the Bluetooth PAK stuff. Resulting it not actually working. Really frustrating out in the woods.
- Dog mode OR a variable preconditioning timer. Polestar has said they’re not doing this for the 2, I think they’re lazy and poopy.
- Being able to set charge limit through the app. I can set power DRAW through the app, why not battery %?
