Very disappointed

Our experience was completely and totally terrible when we arrive to the Resort the computers were down and it took them an hour and a half to be able to finally give us our apartment opening it with the security guards key this was at 11 o’clock at night we were we did not arrive in our room till 1230 after that the next day when I went to get our keys they claim that we were not there registered the Night Shift had not communicated with the dayshift so our experience was that they nobody knew who we were we were able to finally get into our room when they finally gave us keys again the following day and when we arrived in our room employees of the of the resort we’re doing laundry in our washer and dryer inside the apartment without all of our belongings there the following day when we arrived back in the hotel again our keys did not work and again they claimed that we were not registered there they requested an extra fee that we had to pay after all these problems and us with a handicapped child with us what they offered back to us was $100 which I thought was completely horrible my experience at this resort was terrible in my experience with the people that are managing it is also terrible since they did not have our back beware be very aware of what if you book here

The Compass

We loved the location & proximity to the beach. It was as close to oceanfront as you could get, without oceanfront prices. The house was very clean when we arrived. The antique furniture gave it a very homey feel. However, there were a few minor upgrades it could use. The master bed was a little hard & starting to sink in the middle & there was no chest or dresser with drawers in the master to put our clothes in. We had to go buy hangers to hang a few things in the closet because there were none in the whole house.( we left them for future guests)
The TV’s in the bedroom were the smallest I have ever seen & the cable box was not activated in the master, so we couldn’t use the TV. We could only watch the TV in the living room & the couch & sofa closely resembled outdoor wicker furniture, which wasn’t very comfortable. I would recommend the owner invest in a comfy sectional or bigger sofa & love seat. Also, a good set of sharp knives is needed for the kitchen. The ones stocked were all serrated, which made it difficult to peel & chop our fruit & veggies. Otherwise, the kitchen was well stocked. We had a couple storms while we were there, so we did enjoy playing the game board games available. With a few upgrades, I would consider staying here again.

Technical Glitch Nightmare

Due to an error on my part, which was a typo on the email address when making a reservation, the reservation didn’t show up in my trips. I called Vrbo and they were able to forward the confirmation email to my correct email. But they could not change the email on the reservation as their system was having technical difficulties and they could not add it to my account cause it is an Apple account.

I called again a few days later, still they are having technical difficulties and cannot change address on reservation. I am not comfortable with a stranger having access to my reservation so I asked to cancel the reservation and rebook with correct email. I cannot cancel through the site because the reservation is not part of my account. Customer service tried and said they could not cancel because the account connected to the wrong email is not setup. My recourse is to connect directly with Vrbo host and see if they can and would change the email on their end so I could get updates and any other communication or I can dispute the charge through my credit card. Customer service left a message for the host, but haven’t heard anything yet. I will try to call on Monday to see if that will work out, though not a fan of the idea. if that doesn’t work out I’ll have to call the bank.

On a good note the 2 customer service reps were pleasant, understanding and tried to help, though they didn’t have the tools to resolve the issue.
