The upper limit on the branching fraction of the $Λ_c^+ \to p μ^+ μ^-$ decay is determined to be $2.9~(3.2) \times 10^{-8}$ at 90% (95%) confidence level. Vortex is a topological defect in the superconducting condensate when a magnetic field is applied to a type-II superconductor, as elucidated by the Ginzburg-Landau theory. Due to the confinement of the quasiparticles by a vortex, it exhibits a circular shaped pattern of bound states with discrete energy levels, as predicted by the Caroli-de Gennes-Matricon theory in 1964. Here, however, we report a completely new type of vortex pattern which is necklace-like in an iron-based superconductor KCa2Fe4As4F2. Our theoretical analysis shows that this necklace-like vortex pattern arises from selective off-shell interference between vortex bound states of opposite angular momenta in the presence of rotational symmetry breaking due to disorders. This fascinating effect can be observed in a system with a small Fermi energy and wave vector, conditions fortuitously met in our samples. Our results not only disclose a novel vortex structure but also provide insights into comprehending the physics of the superconducting condensate.

Two-dimensional (2D) moiré materials have emerged as a highly tunable platform for investigating novel quantum states of matter arising from strong electronic correlations and nontrivial band topology. Recently, topological flat bands formed in 2D semiconducting moiré superlattices have attracted great interests. In particular, a series of topological quantum phases, including the long-sought fractional quantum anomalous Hall (FQAH) effect, have recently been experimentally observed in twisted bilayer MoTe2 (tMoTe2). However, the microscopic information of tMoTe2 moiré superlattice and its electronic structure is still lacking. Here, we present scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS) studies of the tMoTe2 moiré superlattice, with twist angles ranging from about 2.3° to 2.8°. We developed a contact-STM mode to apply pressure on tMoTe2 and observed a phase transition from band insulator to metal of tMoTe2 under pressure at the charge neutrality point. STM imaging reveals a pronounced in-plane lattice reconstruction with periodic strain redistribution in the tMoTe2, which serves as gauge fields for generating topological moiré bands. Importantly, the electronic states of the low-energy moiré flat bands primarily concentrate at the XM and MX regions as revealed by STS imaging. Such spatial distributions are nicely reproduced by our first principal calculations with a large-scale basis, suggesting the low-energy moiré flat bands are formed through the hybridization of K valley bands of the top layer and K' valley bands of the bottom layer. Overall, our findings provide compelling real-space evidence of electronic structure under pressure and topological flat bands of tMoTe2, paving the way for further STM/STS investigations of correlated topological states within the topological flat band in gate-tunable tMoTe2 devices.

The combination of deep learning and ab initio materials calculations is emerging as a trending frontier of materials science research, with deep-learning density functional theory (DFT) electronic structure being particularly promising. In this work, we introduce a neural-network method for modeling the DFT density matrix, a fundamental yet previously unexplored quantity in deep-learning electronic structure. Utilizing an advanced neural network framework that leverages the nearsightedness and equivariance properties of the density matrix, the method demonstrates high accuracy and excellent generalizability in multiple example studies, as well as capability to precisely predict charge density and reproduce other electronic structure properties. Given the pivotal role of the density matrix in DFT as well as other computational methods, the current research introduces a novel approach to the deep-learning study of electronic structure properties, opening up new opportunities for deep-learning enhanced computational materials study.

Using the~$B^+\rightarrow χ_{c1}(3872)K^+$decay, the $χ_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow ψ(2S)γ$ process is observed for the first time and the ratio of its partial width to that of the $χ_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J/ψγ$ decay is measured to be $$ \frac{Γ_{χ_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow ψ(2S)γ}}
{Γ_{χ_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J/ψγ}} = 1.67 \pm 0.21 \pm 0.12 \pm0.04 , $$ where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainties on the branching fractions of the $ψ(2S)$ and $J/ψ$ mesons. The measured ratio makes the interpretation of the $χ_{c1}(3872)$ state as a~pure $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}+\bar{D}^0D^{*0}$ molecule questionable and strongly indicates a sizeable compact charmonium or tetraquark component within the $χ_{c1}(3872)$ state.

The transport of Bloch electrons under strong fields is traditionally understood through two mechanisms: intraband Bloch oscillations and interband Zener tunneling. Here we propose a new oscillation mechanism induced by the interband quantum metric, which would significantly affect the electron dynamics under strong fields. By considering the multiband dynamics to the second order of the density matrix, we reveal that quantum metric-induced oscillations (QMO) persist regardless of band dispersion, even in exactly flat bands. The resultant drift current can reach a magnitude comparable to the Bloch oscillations-induced drift current in systems where interband tunneling is negligible. Notably, the {QMO}-induced drift current increases linearly with electric field strength under the constraints of time-reversal or spatial-inversion symmetry, emerging as the primary delocalized current. We further show that both one-dimensional and two-dimensional superlattices are potential platforms for investigating QMO.

The value ${r_τ^{\rm Run\,2}=1.076\pm0.013\pm0.006}$ is obtained, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This value is averaged with the corresponding value from Run 1 to obtain ${r_τ^{\rm Run\,1,2} = 1.078\pm0.012\pm0.007}$. Multiplying by the world-average value of the $Λ^0_b$ lifetime yields $τ_{Ξ^-_b}^{\rm Run~1,2} = 1.578\pm0.018\pm0.010\pm0.011$ ps, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the limited knowledge of the $Λ^0_b$ lifetime. This measurement improves the precision of the current world average of the $Ξ^-_b$ lifetime by about a factor of two, and is in good agreement with the most recent theoretical predictions.

Realizing large materials models has emerged as a critical endeavor for materials research in the new era of artificial intelligence, but how to achieve this fantastic and challenging objective remains elusive. Here, we propose a feasible pathway to address this paramount pursuit by developing universal materials models of deep-learning density functional theory Hamiltonian (DeepH), enabling computational modeling of the complicated structure-property relationship of materials in general. By constructing a large materials database and substantially improving the DeepH method, we obtain a universal materials model of DeepH capable of handling diverse elemental compositions and material structures, achieving remarkable accuracy in predicting material properties. We further showcase a promising application of fine-tuning universal materials models for enhancing specific materials models. In this paper, we present a novel method to significantly enhance the computational efficiency of Adaptive Spatial-Temporal Graph Neural Networks (ASTGNNs) by introducing the concept of the Graph Winning Ticket (GWT), derived from the Lottery Ticket Hypothesis (LTH). By adopting a pre-determined star topology as a GWT prior to training, we balance edge reduction with efficient information propagation, reducing computational demands while maintaining high model performance. Both the time and memory computational complexity of generating adaptive spatial-temporal graphs is significantly reduced from $\mathcal{O}(N^2)$ to $\mathcal{O}(N)$. Our approach streamlines the ASTGNN deployment by eliminating the need for exhaustive training, pruning, and retraining cycles, and demonstrates empirically across various datasets that it is possible to achieve comparable performance to full models with substantially lower computational costs. Specifically, our approach enables training ASTGNNs on the largest scale spatial-temporal dataset using a single A6000 equipped with 48 GB of memory, overcoming the out-of-memory issue encountered during original training and even achieving state-of-the-art performance. Furthermore, we delve into the effectiveness of the GWT from the perspective of spectral graph theory, providing substantial theoretical support. This advancement not only proves the existence of efficient sub-networks within ASTGNNs but also broadens the applicability of the LTH in resource-constrained settings, marking a significant step forward in the field of graph neural networks. Moving infrared small target detection presents significant challenges due to tiny target sizes and low contrast against backgrounds. Currently-existing methods primarily focus on extracting target features only from the spatial-temporal domain. For further enhancing feature representation, more information domains such as frequency are believed to be potentially valuable. To extend target feature learning, we propose a new Triple-domain Strategy (Tridos) with the frequency-aware memory enhancement on the spatial-temporal domain. In our scheme, it effectively detaches and enhances frequency features by a local-global frequency-aware module with Fourier transform. Inspired by the human visual system, our memory enhancement aims to capture the target spatial relations between video frames. Furthermore, it encodes temporal dynamics motion features via differential learning and residual enhancing. Additionally, we further design a residual compensation unit to reconcile possible cross-domain feature mismatches. To our best knowledge, our Tridos is the first work to explore target feature learning comprehensively in spatial-temporal-frequency domains. The extensive experiments on three datasets (DAUB, ITSDT-15K, and IRDST) validate that our triple-domain learning scheme could be obviously superior to state-of-the-art ones. Source codes are available at https://github.com/UESTC-nnLab/Tridos.

A study of resonant structures in $B^{+}\rightarrow{D^{\ast+}D^{-}K^{+}}$ and $B^{+}\rightarrow{D^{\ast-}D^{+}K^{+}}$ decays is performed, using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=7, 8$, and $13$ TeV recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$. A simultaneous amplitude fit is performed to the two channels with contributions from resonances decaying to $D^{\ast-}D^{+}$ and $D^{\ast+}D^{-}$ states linked by $C$ parity. This procedure allows the $C$-parities of resonances in the $D^{\ast\pm}D^{\mp}$ mass spectra to be determined. Four charmonium(-like) states are observed decaying into $D^{\ast\pm}D^{\mp}$: $η_c(3945)$, $h_c(4000)$, $χ_{c1}(4010)$ and $h_c(4300)$, with quantum numbers $J^{PC}$ equal to $0^{-+}$, $1^{+-}$, $1^{++}$ and $1^{+-}$, respectively. At least three of these states have not been observed previously. In addition, the existence of the $T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}0}^{*}(2870)^{0}$ and $T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^{*}(2900)^{0}$ resonances in the $D^-K^+$ mass spectrum, already observed in the $B^+ \to D^+ D^- K^+$ decay, is confirmed in a different production channel.

A search for radiative decay of $B^0_s$ mesons to orbitally excited $K^+K^-$ states is performed using proton proton collisions recorded by the \mbox{LHCb}\xspace experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9~fb$^{-1}$. The dikaon spectrum in the mass range $m_{KK}<2400$~{\ensuremath{\,\text{Me\kern -0.1em V\!/}c^2}\xspace} is dominated by the $φ(1020)$ resonance that accounts for almost 70$\%$ of the decay rate. Considering the possible contributions of $f_2{(1270)}$, $f'_2{(1525)}$ and $f_2{(2010)}$ meson states, the overall tensor contribution to the amplitude is measured to be \begin{equation}
{\cal F}_{\{f_2\}}=16.8\pm 0.5\mathrm{~(stat.)}\pm0.7\mathrm{~(syst.)}\%,\nonumber \end{equation}
mostly dominated by the $f'_2(1525)$ state. Several statistically equivalent solutions are obtained for the detailed resonant structure depending on whether the smaller amplitudes interfere destructively or constructively with the dominant amplitude. The preferred solution that corresponds to the lowest values of the fit fractions along with constructive interference leads to the relative branching ratio measurement \begin{equation}
\frac{{\cal B}(B^0_s\to f'_2γ)}{{\cal B}(B^0_s\toφγ)}= 19.4^{+0.9}_{-0.8}\mathrm{~(stat.)}{}^{+1.4}_{-0.5}\mathrm{~(syst.)}\pm0.5\mathrm{~(\cal{B})}\%\nonumber, \end{equation} where the last uncertainty is due to the ratio of measured branching fractions to the $K^+K^-$ final state. This result represents the first observation of the radiative $B^0_s\to f'_2(1525)γ$ decay, which is the second radiative transition observed in the $B^0_s$ sector.

A comprehensive study of the local and nonlocal amplitudes contributing to the decay $B^0\rightarrow K^{*0}(\to K^+π^-) μ^+μ^-$ is performed by analysing the phase-space distribution of the decay products. The analysis is based on \proton\proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.4fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment. This measurement employs for the first time a model of both one-particle and two-particle nonlocal amplitudes, and utilises the complete dimuon mass spectrum without any veto regions around the narrow charmonium resonances. In this way it is possible to explicitly isolate the local and nonlocal contributions and capture the interference between them. The results show that interference with nonlocal contributions, although larger than predicted, only has a minor impact on the Wilson Coefficients determined from the fit to the data. For the local contributions, the Wilson Coefficient $C_9$, responsible for vector dimuon currents, exhibits a $2.1σ$ deviation from the Standard Model expectation. The Wilson Coefficients $C_{10}$, $C_{9}'$ and $C_{10}'$ are all in better agreement than $C_{9}$ with the Standard Model and the global significance is at the level of $1.5σ$. The model used also accounts for nonlocal contributions from $B^{0}\to K^{*0}\left[τ^+τ^-\to μ^+μ^-\right]$ rescattering, resulting in the first direct measurement of the $b sττ$ vector effective-coupling $C_{9τ}$.

The $Ξ_{b}^- \toΛ_{c}^+ K^- π^-$ mode is also used to measure the $Ξ_{b}^-$ production asymmetry, which is found to be consistent with zero. In addition, the $B^- \to Λ_{c}^+ \overline{p} K^-$ decay is observed for the first time, and its branching fraction is measured relative to that of the $B^- \to Λ_{c}^+ \overline{p} π^-$ mode.

Recent experimental discovery of fractional Chern insulator in moiré Chern band in twisted transition metal dichalocogenide homobilayers has sparked intensive interest in exploring the ways of engineering band topology and correlated states in moiré systems. In this letter, we demonstrate that, with an additional exchange interaction induced by proximity effect, the topology and bandwidth of the moiré minibands of twisted $\mathrm{MoTe_2}$ homobilayers can be easily tuned. Fractional Chern insulators at -2/3 filling are found to appear at enlarged twist angles over a large range of twist angles with enhanced many-body gaps. We further discover a topological phase transition between the fractional Chern insulator, quantum anomalous Hall crystal, and charge density wave. Our results shed light on the interplay between topology and correlation physics.

The ratio of branching fractions of the $B^{+}\to D^{*-}D^{+}_{s}π^{+}$ and $B^{0}\to D^{*-}D^{+}_{s}$ decays is measured to be $0.173\pm 0.006\pm 0.010$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. An amplitude analysis of the $B^{+}\to D^{*-}D^{+}_{s}π^{+}$ decay is performed for the first time, revealing dominant contributions from known excited charm resonances decaying to the $D^{*-}π^{+}$ final state. No significant evidence of exotic contributions in the $D^{+}_{s}π^{+}$ or $D^{*-}D^{+}_{s}$ channels is found. Cooperative Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) necessitates seamless collaboration among agents, often represented by an underlying relation graph. Existing methods for learning this graph primarily focus on agent-pair relations, neglecting higher-order relationships. While several approaches attempt to extend cooperation modelling to encompass behaviour similarities within groups, they commonly fall short in concurrently learning the latent graph, thereby constraining the information exchange among partially observed agents. To overcome these limitations, we present a novel approach to infer the Group-Aware Coordination Graph (GACG), which is designed to capture both the cooperation between agent pairs based on current observations and group-level dependencies from behaviour patterns observed across trajectories. This graph is further used in graph convolution for information exchange between agents during decision-making. To further ensure behavioural consistency among agents within the same group, we introduce a group distance loss, which promotes group cohesion and encourages specialization between groups. Our evaluations, conducted on StarCraft II micromanagement tasks, demonstrate GACG's superior performance. An ablation study further provides experimental evidence of the effectiveness of each component of our method.

Moiré-twisted materials have garnered significant research interest due to their distinctive properties and intriguing physics. However, conducting first-principles studies on such materials faces challenges, notably the formidable computational cost associated with simulating ultra-large twisted structures. This obstacle impedes the construction of a twisted materials database crucial for datadriven materials discovery. Here, by using high-throughput calculations and state-of-the-art neural network methods, we construct a Deep-learning Database of density functional theory (DFT) Hamiltonians for Twisted materials named DDHT. The DDHT database comprises trained neural-network models of over a hundred homo-bilayer and hetero-bilayer moiré-twisted materials. These models enable accurate prediction of the DFT Hamiltonian for these materials across arbitrary twist angles, with an averaged mean absolute error of approximately 1.0 meV or lower. The database facilitates the exploration of flat bands and correlated materials platforms within ultra-large twisted structures.

Twisted bilayer graphene (tBLG) provides a fascinating platform for engineering flat bands and inducing correlated phenomena. By designing the stacking architecture of graphene layers, twisted multilayer graphene can exhibit different symmetries with rich tunability. For example, in twisted monolayer-bilayer graphene (tMBG) which breaks the C2z symmetry, transport measurements reveal an asymmetric phase diagram under an out-of-plane electric field, exhibiting correlated insulating state and ferromagnetic state respectively when reversing the field direction. Revealing how the electronic structure evolves with electric field is critical for providing a better understanding of such asymmetric field-tunable properties. Here we report the experimental observation of field-tunable dichotomic electronic structure of tMBG by nanospot angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (NanoARPES) with operando gating. Interestingly, selective enhancement of the relative spectral weight contributions from monolayer and bilayer graphene is observed when switching the polarity of the bias voltage. Combining experimental results with theoretical calculations, the origin of such field-tunable electronic structure, resembling either tBLG or twisted double-bilayer graphene (tDBG), is attributed to the selectively enhanced contribution from different stacking graphene layers with a strong electron-hole asymmetry. Our work provides electronic structure insights for understanding the rich field-tunable physics of tMBG.

The interplay of polarization and magnetism in materials with light can create rich nonlinear magneto-optical (NLMO) effects, and the recent discovery of two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals magnets provides remarkable control over NLMO effects due to their superb tunability. Here, based on first-principles calculations, we reported giant NLMO effects in CrI3-based 2D magnets, including a dramatic change of second-harmonics generation (SHG) polarization direction (90 degrees) and intensity (on/off switch) under magnetization reversal, and a 100% SHG circular dichroism effect. We further revealed that these effects could not only be used to design ultra-thin multifunctional optical devices, but also to detect subtle magnetic orderings. Remarkably, we analytically derived conditions to achieve giant NLMO effects and propose general strategies to realize them in 2D magnets. Our work not only uncovers a series of intriguing NLMO phenomena, but also paves the way for both fundamental research and device applications of ultra-thin NLMO materials.

While agent cooperation can be represented by graph structures, prevailing graph learning methods in MARL are limited. They rely solely on one-step observations, neglecting crucial historical experiences, leading to deficient graphs that foster redundant or detrimental information exchanges. Additionally, high computational demands for action-pair calculations in dense graphs impede scalability. To address these challenges, we propose inferring a Latent Temporal Sparse Coordination Graph (LTS-CG) for MARL. The LTS-CG leverages agents' historical observations to calculate an agent-pair probability matrix, where a sparse graph is sampled from and used for knowledge exchange between agents, thereby simultaneously capturing agent dependencies and relation uncertainty. The computational complexity of this procedure is only related to the number of agents. This graph learning process is further augmented by two innovative characteristics: Predict-Future, which enables agents to foresee upcoming observations, and Infer-Present, ensuring a thorough grasp of the environmental context from limited data. These features allow LTS-CG to construct temporal graphs from historical and real-time information, promoting knowledge exchange during policy learning and effective collaboration. Graph learning and agent training occur simultaneously in an end-to-end manner. Our demonstrated results on the StarCraft II benchmark underscore LTS-CG's superior performance.

We study a generalization of chiral symmetry applicable to non-Hermitian systems and its topological consequences on one-dimensional chains. We uncover a rich family of topological phases hosting several chiral flavors characterized not by a single winding number, but a vector of of them. This, in turn, leads to a novel type of bulk-boundary correspondence, where -- in contrast with conventional chiral chains -- some flavors can have topologically stable non-zero charges on both ends. Moreover, we find that the total charge of each flavor can in some cases exceed the magnitude of the highest winding number in the vector invariant. Our work extends the topological classification of the non-Hermitian AIII class along a new axis.

Magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene (MATBG) exhibits correlated phenomena such as superconductivity and Mott insulating state related to the weakly dispersing flat band near the Fermi energy. Beyond its moiré period, such flat band is expected to be sensitive to lattice relaxations. Thus, clarifying the evolution of the electronic structure with twist angle is critical for understanding the physics of MATBG. Here, we combine nanospot angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy to resolve the fine electronic structure of the flat band and remote bands, and their evolution with twist angles from 1.07$^\circ$ to 2.60$^\circ$. Near the magic angle, dispersion is characterized by a flat band near the Fermi energy with a strongly reduced bandwidth. Moreover, near 1.07$^\circ$, we observe a spectral weight transfer between remote bands at higher binding energy and extract the modulated interlayer spacing near the magic angle. Our work provides direct spectroscopic information on flat band physics and highlights the role of lattice relaxations.

Graph neural networks (GNNs) are a powerful solution for various structure learning applications due to their strong representation capabilities for graph data. However, traditional GNNs, relying on message-passing mechanisms that gather information exclusively from first-order neighbours (known as positive samples), can lead to issues such as over-smoothing and over-squashing. To mitigate these issues, we propose a layer-diverse negative sampling method for message-passing propagation. This method employs a sampling matrix within a determinantal point process, which transforms the candidate set into a space and selectively samples from this space to generate negative samples. To further enhance the diversity of the negative samples during each forward pass, we develop a space-squeezing method to achieve layer-wise diversity in multi-layer GNNs. Experiments on various real-world graph datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in improving the diversity of negative samples and overall learning performance. Moreover, adding negative samples dynamically changes the graph's topology, thus with the strong potential to improve the expressiveness of GNNs and reduce the risk of over-squashing.

Deep-learning density functional theory (DFT) shows great promise to significantly accelerate material discovery and potentially revolutionize materials research, which demands a close combination between neural networks and DFT computation. However, current research in this field primarily relies on supervised learning, making the developments of neural networks and DFT isolated from each other. In this work, we present a theoretical framework of neural-network DFT, which unifies the optimization of neural networks with the variational computation of DFT, enabling physics-informed unsupervised learning. Moreover, we develop a differential DFT code incorporated with deep-learning DFT Hamiltonian, and introduce algorithms of automatic differentiation and backpropagation to DFT, demonstrating the concept of neural-network DFT. The advanced neural-network architecture not only surpasses conventional approaches in accuracy and efficiency, but offers a new paradigm for developing deep-learning DFT methods.

A method is presented to reconstruct charged particles with lifetimes between 10 ps and 10 ns, which considers a combination of their decay products and the partial tracks created by the initial charged particle. Using the $Ξ^-$ baryon as a benchmark, the method is demonstrated with simulated events and proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.0 fb${}^{-1}$ collected with the LHCb detector in 2018. Significant improvements in the angular resolution and the signal purity are obtained. The method is implemented as part of the LHCb Run 3 event trigger in a set of requirements to select detached hyperons. This is the first demonstration of the applicability of this approach at the LHC, and the first to show its scaling with instantaneous luminosity.

The development of single-cell sequencing technology had promoted the generation of a large amount of single-cell transcriptional profiles, providing valuable opportunities to explore drug-resistant cell subpopulations in a tumor. However, the drug sensitivity data in single-cell level is still scarce to date, pressing an urgent and highly challenging task for computational prediction of the drug sensitivity to individual cells. This paper proposed scAdaDrug, a multi-source adaptive weighting model to predict single-cell drug sensitivity. We used an autoencoder to extract domain-invariant features related to drug sensitivity from multiple source domains by exploiting adversarial domain adaptation. Especially, we introduced an adaptive weight generator to produce importance-aware and mutual independent weights, which could adaptively modulate the embedding of each sample in dimension-level for both source and target domains. Extensive experimental results showed that our model achieved state-of-the-art performance in predicting drug sensitivity on sinle-cell datasets, as well as on cell line and patient datasets.

The $Λ^0_b \to D^+ D^- Λ$ decay is observed for the first time using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of $13 \mathrm{TeV}$, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $5.3 \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Using the $B^0 \to D^+ D^- K_{\mathrm{S}}^0$ decay as a reference channel, the product of the relative production cross-section and decay branching fractions is measured to be $$ {\cal R}=\frac{σ_{Λ^0_b}}{σ_{B^0}} \times \frac{{\cal B}(Λ^0_b \to D^+ D^- Λ)}{{\cal B}(B^0 \to D^+ D^- K_{\mathrm{S}}^0)}=0.179 \pm 0.022 \pm 0.014 $$ where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The known branching fraction of the reference channel, ${\cal B}(B^0 \to D^+ D^- K_{\mathrm{S}}^0)$, and the cross-section ratio, $σ_{Λ^0_b} / σ_{B^0}$, previously measured by $\mathrm{LHCb}$ are used to derive the branching fraction of the $Λ^0_b \to D^+ D^- Λ$ decay $$ {\cal B}(Λ^0_b \to D^+ D^- Λ)=(1.24 \pm 0.15 \pm 0.10 \pm 0.28 \pm 0.11) \times 10^{-4}, $$ where the third and fourth contributions are due to uncertainties of ${\cal B}(B^0 \to D^+ D^- K_{\mathrm{S}}^0)$ and $σ_{Λ^0_b} / σ_{B^0}$, respectively. Inspection of the $D^+ Λ$ and $D^+ D^-$ invariant-mass distributions suggests a rich presence of intermediate resonances in the decay. The $Λ^0_b \to D^{*+} D^- Λ$ decay is also observed for the first time as a partially reconstructed component in the $D^+ D^- Λ$ invariant mass spectrum.

The gender-related discourses are often diminished when addressing public events regarding sexism and gender inequality on social media platforms. The dichotomized debate around the Tangshan beating incident in China epitomized how criminal interpretations of gender-related violence became a backlash against feminist expressions. By analyzing posts on Weibo using mixed methods, we describe the emerging discursive patterns around crime and gender, uncovering the inherent gender-blind sexism that refutes feminist discourses on the social platform. We also highlight the critical restrictions facing grassroots feminist activism in Chinese cyberspace and propose implications for the design and research related to digital feminist activism.

Representing the Neural Radiance Field (NeRF) with the explicit voxel grid (EVG) is a promising direction for improving NeRFs. However, the EVG representation is not efficient for storage and transmission because of the terrific memory cost. Current methods for compressing EVG mainly inherit the methods designed for neural network compression, such as pruning and quantization, which do not take full advantage of the spatial correlation of voxels. Inspired by prosperous digital image compression techniques, this paper proposes SPC-NeRF, a novel framework applying spatial predictive coding in EVG compression. The proposed framework can remove spatial redundancy efficiently for better compression performance.Moreover, we model the bitrate and design a novel form of the loss function, where we can jointly optimize compression ratio and distortion to achieve higher coding efficiency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can achieve 32% bit saving compared to the state-of-the-art method VQRF on multiple representative test datasets, with comparable training time.

Topological and valleytronic materials are promising for spintronic and quantum applications due to their unique properties. Using first principles calculations, we demonstrate that germanene (Ge)-based ferromagnetic heterostructures can exhibit multiple quantum states such as quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) with Chern numbers of C=-1 or C=-2, quantum valley Hall effect (QVHE) with a valley Chern number of C$v$=2, valley-polarized quantum anomalous Hall effect (VP-QAHE) with two Chern numbers of C=-1 and C$v$=-1 as well as time-reversal symmetry broken quantum spin Hall effect (T-broken QSHE) with a spin Chern number of C$s$~1. Furthermore, we find that the transitions between different quantum states can occur by changing the magnetic orientation of ferromagnetic layers through applying a magnetic field. Our discovery provides new routes and novel material platforms with a unique combination of diverse properties that make it well suitable for applications in electronics, spintronics and valley electronics.

The ratio of branching fractions between $B^{0} \rightarrow J/ψπ^{0}$ and $B^{+} \rightarrow J/ψK^{*+}$ decays is measured with proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$. The measured value is $\frac{\mathcal{B}_{B^{0} \rightarrow J/ψπ^{0}}}{\mathcal{B}_{B^{+} \rightarrow J/ψK^{*+}}} = (1.153 \pm 0.053 \pm 0.048 ) \times 10^{-2}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The branching fraction for $B^{0} \rightarrow J/ψπ^{0}$ decays is determined using the branching fraction of the normalisation channel, resulting in $\mathcal{B}_{B^{0} \rightarrow J/ψπ^{0}} = (1.670 \pm 0.077 \pm 0.069 \pm 0.095) \times 10^{-5}$, where the last uncertainty corresponds to that of the external input. This result is consistent with the current world average value and competitive with the most precise single measurement to date.

Neural network force fields have significantly advanced ab initio atomistic simulations across diverse fields. However, their application in the realm of magnetic materials is still in its early stage due to challenges posed by the subtle magnetic energy landscape and the difficulty of obtaining training data. Here we introduce a data-efficient neural network architecture to represent density functional theory total energy, atomic forces, and magnetic forces as functions of atomic and magnetic structures. Our approach incorporates the principle of equivariance under the three-dimensional Euclidean group into the neural network model. Through systematic experiments on various systems, including monolayer magnets, curved nanotube magnets, and moiré-twisted bilayer magnets of $\text{CrI}_{3}$, we showcase the method's high efficiency and accuracy, as well as exceptional generalization ability. The work creates opportunities for exploring magnetic phenomena in large-scale materials systems.

The $B^0$ observables are used to constrain the parameter space of the CKM angle $γ$ and the hadronic parameters $r_{B^0}^{DK^*}$ and $δ_{B^0}^{DK^*}$ with inputs from other measurements. In a combined analysis, these measurements allow for four solutions in the parameter space, only one of which is consistent with the world average.

Calculating perturbation response properties of materials from first principles provides a vital link between theory and experiment, but is bottlenecked by the high computational cost. Here a general framework is proposed to perform density functional perturbation theory (DFPT) calculations by neural networks, greatly improving the computational efficiency. Automatic differentiation is applied on neural networks, facilitating accurate computation of derivatives. High efficiency and good accuracy of the approach are demonstrated by studying electron-phonon coupling and related physical quantities. This work brings deep-learning density functional theory and DFPT into a unified framework, creating opportunities for developing ab initio artificial intelligence.

Deep-learning electronic structure calculations show great potential for revolutionizing the landscape of computational materials research. However, current neural-network architectures are not deemed suitable for widespread general-purpose application. Here we introduce a framework of equivariant local-coordinate transformer, designed to enhance the deep-learning density functional theory Hamiltonian referred to as DeepH-2. Unlike previous models such as DeepH and DeepH-E3, DeepH-2 seamlessly integrates the simplicity of local-coordinate transformations and the mathematical elegance of equivariant neural networks, effectively overcoming their respective disadvantages. Based on our comprehensive experiments, DeepH-2 demonstrates superiority over its predecessors in both efficiency and accuracy, showcasing state-of-the-art performance. This advancement opens up opportunities for exploring universal neural network models or even large materials models.

The prompt and nonprompt $ψ(2S)$ production cross-sections and the ratio of the $ψ(2S)$ to $J/ψ$ cross-section are measured as a function of the meson transverse momentum and rapidity in the nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass frame, together with forward-to-backward ratios and nuclear modification factors. The production of prompt $ψ(2S)$ is observed to be more suppressed compared to $pp$ collisions than the prompt $J/ψ$ production, while the nonprompt productions have similar suppression factors.

Recently discovered Ising superconductors have garnered considerable interest due to their anomalously large in-plane upper critical fields ($B_{c2}$). However, the requisite strong spin-orbital coupling in the Ising pairing mechanism generally renders these superconductors heavy-element dominant with notably low superconducting transition temperatures ($T_c$). Here, based on the Migdal-Eliashberg theory and the mean-field Bogoliubov-de Gennes Hamiltonian, we demonstrate a significant enhancement of Ising superconductivity in monolayer NbSe$_2$ through surface fluorination, as evidenced by concomitant improvements in $T_c$ and $B_{c2}$. This enhancement arises from three predominant factors. Firstly, fluorine atoms symmetrically and stably adhere to both sides of the monolayer NbSe$_2$, thereby maintaining the out-of-plane mirror symmetry and locking carrier spins out-of-plane. Secondly, fluorination suppresses the charge density wave in monolayer NbSe$_2$ and induces a van Hove singularity in the vicinity of the Fermi level, leading to a marked increase in the number of carriers and, consequently, strengthening the electron-phonon coupling (EPC). Lastly, the appearance of fluorine-related, low-frequency phonon modes further augments the EPC. Our findings suggest a promising avenue to elevate $T_c$ in two-dimensional Ising superconductors without compromising their Ising pairing.

The ratio of production cross-sections of $ψ(2S)$ over $J/ψ$ mesons as a function of charged-particle multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV is measured with a data sample collected by the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 658 pb$^{-1}$. The ratio is measured for both prompt and non-prompt $ψ(2S)$ and $J/ψ$ mesons. When there is an overlap between the rapidity ranges over which multiplicity and charmonia production are measured, a multiplicity-dependent modification of the ratio is observed for prompt mesons. No significant multiplicity dependence is found when the ranges do not overlap. For non-prompt production, the $ψ(2S)-to-J/ψ$ production ratio is roughly independent of multiplicity irrespective of the rapidity range over which the multiplicity is measured.
The results are compared to predictions of the co-mover model and agree well except in the low multiplicity region. The ratio of production cross-sections of $ψ(2S)$ over $J/ψ$ mesons are cross-checked with other measurements in di-lepton channels and found to be compatible.
