The branching fractions of $D_s^+\to\ell^+ν_{\ell}\,(\ell=μ,τ)$ are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\toμ^+ν_μ)=(\bfmuv)\%$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\toτ^+ν_τ)=(\bftauv)\%$, respectively. The product of the decay constant and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ is determined to be $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=(\mufdsxvcsresult)_{μν}~\mathrm{MeV}$ and $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=(\taufdsxvcsresult))_{τν}~\mathrm{MeV}$, respectively. Taking the value of $|V_{cs}|$ from a global fit in the Standard Model, we obtain ${f_{D^+_s}}=(\mufdsresult)_{μν}$\,MeV and ${f_{D^+_s}}=(\taufdsresult)_{τν}$\,MeV, respectively. Conversely, taking the value for $f_{D_s^+}$ from the latest lattice quantum chromodynamics calculation, we obtain $|V_{cs}| =(\muvcsresult)_{μν}$ and $|V_{cs}| = (\tauvcsresult)_{τν}$, respectively.

Monte Carlo tree search (MCTS) is one of the most capable online search algorithms for sequential planning tasks, with significant applications in areas such as resource allocation and transit planning. Despite its strong performance in real-world deployment, the inherent complexity of MCTS makes it challenging to understand for users without technical background. This paper considers the use of MCTS in transportation routing services, where the algorithm is integrated to develop optimized route plans. These plans are required to meet a range of constraints and requirements simultaneously, further complicating the task of explaining the algorithm's operation in real-world contexts. To address this critical research gap, we introduce a novel computation tree logic-based explainer for MCTS. Our framework begins by taking user-defined requirements and translating them into rigorous logic specifications through the use of language templates. Then, our explainer incorporates a logic verification and quantitative evaluation module that validates the states and actions traversed by the MCTS algorithm. The outcomes of this analysis are then rendered into human-readable descriptive text using a second set of language templates. The user satisfaction of our approach was assessed through a survey with 82 participants. The results indicated that our explanatory approach significantly outperforms other baselines in user preference.

Understanding of video creativity and content often varies among individuals, with differences in focal points and cognitive levels across different ages, experiences, and genders. There is currently a lack of research in this area, and most existing benchmarks suffer from several drawbacks: 1) a limited number of modalities and answers with restrictive length; 2) the content and scenarios within the videos are excessively monotonous, transmitting allegories and emotions that are overly simplistic. To bridge the gap to real-world applications, we introduce a large-scale Subjective Response Indicators for Advertisement Videos dataset, namely SRI-ADV. Specifically, we collected real changes in Electroencephalographic (EEG) and eye-tracking regions from different demographics while they viewed identical video content. Utilizing this multi-modal dataset, we developed tasks and protocols to analyze and evaluate the extent of cognitive understanding of video content among different users. Along with the dataset, we designed a Hypergraph Multi-modal Large Language Model (HMLLM) to explore the associations among different demographics, video elements, EEG, and eye-tracking indicators. HMLLM could bridge semantic gaps across rich modalities and integrate information beyond different modalities to perform logical reasoning. Extensive experimental evaluations on SRI-ADV and other additional video-based generative performance benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. The codes and dataset will be released at https://github.com/suay1113/HMLLM.

The absolute branching fractions of $D_{s1}(2536)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^{*0}K^-$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^0K^-$ are measured for the first time to be $(35.9\pm 4.8\pm 3.5)\%$ and $(37.4\pm 3.1\pm 4.6)\%$, respectively. The measurements are in tension with predictions based on the assumption that the $D_{s1}(2536)$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)$ are dominated by a bare $c\bar{s}$ component. The $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ cross sections are measured, and a resonant structure at around 4.6~GeV with a width of 50~MeV is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $15σ$ in the $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ process. It could be the $Y(4626)$ found by the Belle collaboration in the $D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^{-}$ final state, since they have similar masses and widths. There is also evidence for a structure at around 4.75~GeV in both processes.

Knowledge Graph Question Answering (KGQA) simplifies querying vast amounts of knowledge stored in a graph-based model using natural language. However, the research has largely concentrated on English, putting non-English speakers at a disadvantage. Meanwhile, existing multilingual KGQA systems face challenges in achieving performance comparable to English systems, highlighting the difficulty of generating SPARQL queries from diverse languages. In this research, we propose a simplified approach to enhance multilingual KGQA systems by incorporating linguistic context and entity information directly into the processing pipeline of a language model. Unlike existing methods that rely on separate encoders for integrating auxiliary information, our strategy leverages a single, pretrained multilingual transformer-based language model to manage both the primary input and the auxiliary data. Our methodology significantly improves the language model's ability to accurately convert a natural language query into a relevant SPARQL query. It demonstrates promising results on the most recent QALD datasets, namely QALD-9-Plus and QALD-10. Furthermore, we introduce and evaluate our approach on Chinese and Japanese, thereby expanding the language diversity of the existing datasets.

The automatic speaker verification system is sometimes vulnerable to various spoofing attacks. The 2-class Gaussian Mixture Model classifier for genuine and spoofed speech is usually used as the baseline for spoofing detection. However, the GMM classifier does not separately consider the scores of feature frames on each Gaussian component. In addition, the GMM accumulates the scores on all frames independently, and does not consider their correlations. We propose the two-path GMM-ResNet and GMM-SENet models for spoofing detection, whose input is the Gaussian probability features based on two GMMs trained on genuine and spoofed speech respectively. The models consider not only the score distribution on GMM components, but also the relationship between adjacent frames. A two-step training scheme is applied to improve the system robustness. Experiments on the ASVspoof 2019 show that the LFCC+GMM-ResNet system can relatively reduce min-tDCF and EER by 76.1% and 76.3% on logical access scenario compared with the GMM, and the LFCC+GMM-SENet system by 94.4% and 95.4% on physical access scenario. After score fusion, the systems give the second-best results on both scenarios.

FeSe$_{1-x}$S$_{x}$ superconductors are commonly considered layered van der Waals materials with negligible inter-layer coupling. Here, using inelastic neutron scattering to study spin excitations in single-crystal samples, we reveal that the magnetic coupling between adjacent Fe layers is not only significant, as it affects excitations up to \textcolor{black}{15} meV, but also ferromagnetic in nature, making the system different from most unconventional superconductors including iron pnictides. Our observation provides a new standpoint to understand the absence of magnetic order in FeSe$_{1-x}$S$_{x}$. Since intercalating between the Fe layers is known to enhance superconductivity and suppress the inter-layer coupling, superconductivity appears to be a more robust phenomenon in the two-dimensional limit than antiferromagnetic order.

Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly applied to clinical decision-making. However, their potential to exhibit bias poses significant risks to clinical equity. Currently, there is a lack of benchmarks that systematically evaluate such clinical bias in LLMs. While in downstream tasks, some biases of LLMs can be avoided such as by instructing the model to answer "I'm not sure...", the internal bias hidden within the model still lacks deep studies. We introduce CLIMB (shorthand for A Benchmark of Clinical Bias in Large Language Models), a pioneering comprehensive benchmark to evaluate both intrinsic (within LLMs) and extrinsic (on downstream tasks) bias in LLMs for clinical decision tasks. Notably, for intrinsic bias, we introduce a novel metric, AssocMAD, to assess the disparities of LLMs across multiple demographic groups. Additionally, we leverage counterfactual intervention to evaluate extrinsic bias in a task of clinical diagnosis prediction. Our experiments across popular and medically adapted LLMs, particularly from the Mistral and LLaMA families, unveil prevalent behaviors with both intrinsic and extrinsic bias. This work underscores the critical need to mitigate clinical bias and sets a new standard for future evaluations of LLMs' clinical bias.

Federated Learning is widely employed to tackle distributed sensitive data. Existing methods primarily focus on addressing in-federation data heterogeneity. However, we observed that they suffer from significant performance degradation when applied to unseen clients for out-of-federation (OOF) generalization. The recent attempts to address generalization to unseen clients generally struggle to scale up to large-scale distributed settings due to high communication or computation costs. Moreover, methods that scale well often demonstrate poor generalization capability. To achieve OOF-resiliency in a scalable manner, we propose Topology-aware Federated Learning (TFL) that leverages client topology - a graph representing client relationships - to effectively train robust models against OOF data. We formulate a novel optimization problem for TFL, consisting of two key modules: Client Topology Learning, which infers the client relationships in a privacy-preserving manner, and Learning on Client Topology, which leverages the learned topology to identify influential clients and harness this information into the FL optimization process to efficiently build robust models. Empirical evaluation on a variety of real-world datasets verifies TFL's superior OOF robustness and scalability.

Low-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and hybrid beamforming have emerged as efficient solutions to reduce power consumption with satisfactory spectral efficiency (SE) in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. In this paper, we investigate the performance of a hybrid receiver in uplink massive MIMO orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems with low-resolution ADCs and oversampling. Considering both the temporal and spatial correlation of the quantization distortion (QD), we derive a closed-form approximation of the frequency-domain QD covariance matrix, which facilitates the evaluation of the system SE. Then we jointly design the analog and baseband combiners to maximize the SE. The formulated problem is significantly challenging due to the constant-modulus constraint of the analog combiner and its coupling with the digital one. To overcome the challenges, we transform the objective function into an equivalent but more tractable form and then iteratively update the analog and digital combiner. Numerical simulations verify the superiority of the proposed algorithm compared to the considered benchmarks and show the resilience of the hybrid receiver to beam squint for low-resolution systems. Furthermore, the results show that the proposed hybrid receiver design with oversampling can achieve significantly higher energy efficiency compared to the digital one.

Low-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) have emerged as a promising technology for reducing power consumption and complexity in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems while maintaining satisfactory spectral and energy efficiencies (SE/EE). In this work, we first identify the essential properties of optimal quantization and leverage them to derive a closed-form approximation of the covariance matrix of the quantization distortion. The theoretical finding facilitates the system SE analysis in the presence of low-resolution ADCs. We then focus on the joint optimization of the transmit-receive beamforming and bit allocation to maximize the SE under constraints on the transmit power and the total number of active ADC bits. To solve the resulting mixed-integer problem, we first develop an efficient beamforming design for fixed ADC resolutions. Then, we propose a low-complexity heuristic algorithm to iteratively optimize the ADC resolutions and beamforming matrices. Numerical results for a $64 \times 64$ MIMO system demonstrate that the proposed design offers $6\%$ improvement in both SE and EE with $40\%$ fewer active ADC bits compared with the uniform bit allocation. Furthermore, we numerically show that receiving more data streams with low-resolution ADCs can achieve higher SE and EE compared to receiving fewer data streams with high-resolution ADCs.

Deep learning models are widely used for speaker recognition and spoofing speech detection. We propose the GMM-ResNet2 for synthesis speech detection. Compared with the previous GMM-ResNet model, GMM-ResNet2 has four improvements. Firstly, the different order GMMs have different capabilities to form smooth approximations to the feature distribution, and multiple GMMs are used to extract multi-scale Log Gaussian Probability features. Secondly, the grouping technique is used to improve the classification accuracy by exposing the group cardinality while reducing both the number of parameters and the training time. The final score is obtained by ensemble of all group classifier outputs using the averaging method. Thirdly, the residual block is improved by including one activation function and one batch normalization layer. Finally, an ensemble-aware loss function is proposed to integrate the independent loss functions of all ensemble members. On the ASVspoof 2019 LA task, the GMM-ResNet2 achieves a minimum t-DCF of 0.0227 and an EER of 0.79\%. On the ASVspoof 2021 LA task, the GMM-ResNet2 achieves a minimum t-DCF of 0.2362 and an EER of 2.19\%, and represents a relative reductions of 31.4\% and 76.3\% compared with the LFCC-LCNN baseline.

Recent advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) have empowered LLM agents to autonomously collect world information, over which to conduct reasoning to solve complex problems. Given this capability, increasing interests have been put into employing LLM agents for predicting international events, which can influence decision-making and shape policy development on an international scale. Despite such a growing interest, there is a lack of a rigorous benchmark of LLM agents' forecasting capability and reliability. To address this gap, we introduce MIRAI, a novel benchmark designed to systematically evaluate LLM agents as temporal forecasters in the context of international events. Our benchmark features an agentic environment with tools for accessing an extensive database of historical, structured events and textual news articles. We refine the GDELT event database with careful cleaning and parsing to curate a series of relational prediction tasks with varying forecasting horizons, assessing LLM agents' abilities from short-term to long-term forecasting. We further implement APIs to enable LLM agents to utilize different tools via a code-based interface. In summary, MIRAI comprehensively evaluates the agents' capabilities in three dimensions: 1) autonomously source and integrate critical information from large global databases; 2) write codes using domain-specific APIs and libraries for tool-use; and 3) jointly reason over historical knowledge from diverse formats and time to accurately predict future events. Through comprehensive benchmarking, we aim to establish a reliable framework for assessing the capabilities of LLM agents in forecasting international events, thereby contributing to the development of more accurate and trustworthy models for international relation analysis.

For both measurements, the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The branching fraction and form factor measurements are factors of 1.6 and 1.7 more precise than the previous world averages, respectively.

Interfacial hydration structures are crucial in wide-ranging applications, including battery, colloid, lubrication etc. Multivalent ions like Mg2+ and La3+ show irreplaceable roles in these applications, which are hypothesized due to their unique interfacial hydration structures. However, this hypothesis lacks experimental supports. Here, using three-dimensional atomic force microscopy (3D-AFM), we provide the first observation for their interfacial hydration structures with molecular resolution. We observed the evolution of layered hydration structures at La(NO3)3 solution-mica interfaces with concentration. As concentration increases from 25 mM to 2 M, the layer number varies from 2 to 1 and back to 2, and the interlayer thickness rises from 0.25 to 0.34 nm, with hydration force increasing from 0.27+-0.07 to 1.04+-0.24 nN. Theory and molecular simulation reveal that multivalence induces concentration-dependent ion condensation and correlation effects, resulting in compositional and structural evolution within interfacial hydration structures. Additional experiments with MgCl2-mica, La(NO3)3-graphite and Al(NO3)3-mica interfaces together with literature comparison confirm the universality of this mechanism for both multivalent and monovalent ions. New factors affecting interfacial hydration structures are revealed, including concentration and solvent dielectric constant. This insight provides guidance for designing interfacial hydration structures to optimize solid-liquid-interphase for battery life extension, modulate colloid stability and develop efficient lubricants.

{Γ_{χ_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J/ψγ}} = 1.67 \pm 0.21 \pm 0.12 \pm0.04 , $$ where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainties on the branching fractions of the $ψ(2S)$ and $J/ψ$ mesons. The measured ratio makes the interpretation of the $χ_{c1}(3872)$ state as a~pure $D^0\bar{D}^{*0}+\bar{D}^0D^{*0}$ molecule questionable and strongly indicates a sizeable compact charmonium or tetraquark component within the $χ_{c1}(3872)$ state.

Remote sensing images usually characterized by complex backgrounds, scale and orientation variations, and large intra-class variance. General semantic segmentation methods usually fail to fully investigate the above issues, and thus their performances on remote sensing image segmentation are limited. In this paper, we propose our LOGCAN++, a semantic segmentation model customized for remote sensing images, which is made up of a Global Class Awareness (GCA) module and several Local Class Awareness (LCA) modules. The GCA module captures global representations for class-level context modeling to reduce the interference of background noise. The LCA module generates local class representations as intermediate perceptual elements to indirectly associate pixels with the global class representations, targeting at dealing with the large intra-class variance problem. In particular, we introduce affine transformations in the LCA module for adaptive extraction of local class representations to effectively tolerate scale and orientation variations in remotely sensed images. Extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets show that our LOGCAN++ outperforms current mainstream general and remote sensing semantic segmentation methods and achieves a better trade-off between speed and accuracy. Code is available at https://github.com/xwmaxwma/rssegmentation.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable abilities, one of the most important being In-Context Learning (ICL). With ICL, LLMs can derive the underlying rule from a few demonstrations and provide answers that comply with the rule. Previous work hypothesized that the network creates a "task vector" in specific positions during ICL. Patching the "task vector" allows LLMs to achieve zero-shot performance similar to few-shot learning. However, we discover that such "task vectors" do not exist in tasks where the rule has to be defined through multiple demonstrations. Instead, the rule information provided by each demonstration is first transmitted to its answer position and forms its own rule vector. Importantly, all the rule vectors contribute to the output in a distributed manner. We further show that the rule vectors encode a high-level abstraction of rules extracted from the demonstrations. These results are further validated in a series of tasks that rely on rules dependent on multiple demonstrations. Our study provides novel insights into the mechanism underlying ICL in LLMs, demonstrating how ICL may be achieved through an information aggregation mechanism.

The value ${r_τ^{\rm Run\,2}=1.076\pm0.013\pm0.006}$ is obtained, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This value is averaged with the corresponding value from Run 1 to obtain ${r_τ^{\rm Run\,1,2} = 1.078\pm0.012\pm0.007}$. Multiplying by the world-average value of the $Λ^0_b$ lifetime yields $τ_{Ξ^-_b}^{\rm Run~1,2} = 1.578\pm0.018\pm0.010\pm0.011$ ps, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the limited knowledge of the $Λ^0_b$ lifetime. This measurement improves the precision of the current world average of the $Ξ^-_b$ lifetime by about a factor of two, and is in good agreement with the most recent theoretical predictions.

We propose a method to improve and utilize pretrained representations by integrating a minimalist tagging scheme and a novel token-level contrastive learning strategy. The proposed approach demonstrates comparable or superior performance compared to state-of-the-art techniques while featuring a more compact design and reduced computational overhead. Additionally, we are the first to formally evaluate GPT-4's performance in few-shot learning and Chain-of-Thought scenarios for this task. The results demonstrate that the pretraining-finetuning paradigm remains highly effective even in the era of large language models.

An infodemic refers to an enormous amount of true information and misinformation disseminated during a disease outbreak. Detecting misinformation at the early stage of an infodemic is key to manage it and reduce its harm to public health. An early stage infodemic is characterized by a large volume of unlabeled information concerning a disease. As a result, conventional misinformation detection methods are not suitable for this misinformation detection task because they rely on labeled information in the infodemic domain to train their models. To address the limitation of conventional methods, state-of-the-art methods learn their models using labeled information in other domains to detect misinformation in the infodemic domain. The efficacy of these methods depends on their ability to mitigate both covariate shift and concept shift between the infodemic domain and the domains from which they leverage labeled information. These methods focus on mitigating covariate shift but overlook concept shift, rendering them less effective for the task. In response, we theoretically show the necessity of tackling both covariate shift and concept shift as well as how to operationalize each of them. Built on the theoretical analysis, we develop a novel misinformation detection method that addresses both covariate shift and concept shift. Using two real-world datasets, we conduct extensive empirical evaluations to demonstrate the superior performance of our method over state-of-the-art misinformation detection methods as well as prevalent domain adaptation methods that can be tailored to solve the misinformation detection task.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially Large Language Models (LLMs), into the clinical diagnosis process offers significant potential to improve the efficiency and accessibility of medical care. While LLMs have shown some promise in the medical domain, their application in clinical diagnosis remains underexplored, especially in real-world clinical practice, where highly sophisticated, patient-specific decisions need to be made. Current evaluations of LLMs in this field are often narrow in scope, focusing on specific diseases or specialties and employing simplified diagnostic tasks. To bridge this gap, we introduce CliBench, a novel benchmark developed from the MIMIC IV dataset, offering a comprehensive and realistic assessment of LLMs' capabilities in clinical diagnosis. This benchmark not only covers diagnoses from a diverse range of medical cases across various specialties but also incorporates tasks of clinical significance: treatment procedure identification, lab test ordering and medication prescriptions. Supported by structured output ontologies, CliBench enables a precise and multi-granular evaluation, offering an in-depth understanding of LLM's capability on diverse clinical tasks of desired granularity. We conduct a zero-shot evaluation of leading LLMs to assess their proficiency in clinical decision-making. Our preliminary results shed light on the potential and limitations of current LLMs in clinical settings, providing valuable insights for future advancements in LLM-powered healthcare.

Comprising 11,264 images and 2,600 multiple-choice questions, MuirBench is created in a pairwise manner, where each standard instance is paired with an unanswerable variant that has minimal semantic differences, in order for a reliable assessment. Evaluated upon 20 recent multi-modal LLMs, our results reveal that even the best-performing models like GPT-4o and Gemini Pro find it challenging to solve MuirBench, achieving 68.0% and 49.3% in accuracy. Open-source multimodal LLMs trained on single images can hardly generalize to multi-image questions, hovering below 33.3% in accuracy. These results highlight the importance of MuirBench in encouraging the community to develop multimodal LLMs that can look beyond a single image, suggesting potential pathways for future improvements.

The branching fraction of the decay $η_{c}(1S) \to 2(π^{+}π^{-})η$, which is found to have a strong dependence on the interference pattern between $η_c(1S)$ and non-$η_c(1S)$ processes, is measured in both destructive and constructive interference scenarios for the first time. The mass and width of the $η_{c}(1S)$ are measured to be $M=(2984.14 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.38)$ MeV/$c^{2}$ and $Γ=(28.82 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.82)$ MeV, respectively. Clear signals for the decays of the $χ_{cJ}(J=0,1,2)$ and the $η_{c}(2S)$ to $2(π^{+}π^{-})η$ are also observed for the first time, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of the branching fractions between the $η_{c}(2S)$ and $η_{c}(1S)$ decays is significantly lower than the theoretical prediction, which might suggest different dynamics in their decays.

Using the exponential midpoint approximation defined by a continuous and piecewise linear interpolation of nodal values yields the suboptimal order estimates. Based on the property of the entire function, we introduce a continuous and piecewise quadratic time reconstruction of the exponential midpoint method to derive the optimal order estimates, and the error bounds are solely dependent on the discretization parameters, the data of the problem and the approximation of the entire function. Several numerical examples are implemented to illustrate the theoretical results.

Learning temporal dependencies among targets (TDT) benefits better time series forecasting, where targets refer to the predicted sequence. Although autoregressive methods model TDT recursively, they suffer from inefficient inference and error accumulation. We argue that integrating TDT learning into non-autoregressive methods is essential for pursuing effective and efficient time series forecasting. In this study, we introduce the differencing approach to represent TDT and propose a parameter-free and plug-and-play solution through an optimization objective, namely TDT Loss. It leverages the proportion of inconsistent signs between predicted and ground truth TDT as an adaptive weight, dynamically balancing target prediction and fine-grained TDT fitting. Importantly, TDT Loss incurs negligible additional cost, with only $\mathcal{O}(n)$ increased computation and $\mathcal{O}(1)$ memory requirements, while significantly enhancing the predictive performance of non-autoregressive models. To assess the effectiveness of TDT loss, we conduct extensive experiments on 7 widely used datasets. The experimental results of plugging TDT loss into 6 state-of-the-art methods show that out of the 168 experiments, 75.00\% and 94.05\% exhibit improvements in terms of MSE and MAE with the maximum 24.56\% and 16.31\%, respectively.

Vehicle Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) have experienced significant development in recent years, playing a crucial role in enhancing the driving experience by enabling safer and more efficient inter-vehicle interactions through information exchange. Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication is particularly vital as it not only helps to prevent collisions and improve traffic efficiency but also provides essential situational awareness to drivers or autonomous driving systems. Communication is typically supported by Roadside Units (RSUs); however, in practical applications, vehicles may exceed the communication range of RSUs, thus exposing them to various malicious attacks. Additionally, considering the limited computational resources of onboard units (OBUs) in vehicles, there is a high demand for designing lightweight security protocols that support V2V communication. To address this issue, this paper proposes an efficient anonymous V2V identity authentication protocol tailored for scenarios that lack RSU support. The proposed protocol has been formally assessed using the Scyther tool, demonstrating its capability to withstand major typical malicious attacks. Performance evaluations indicate that the proposed protocol is efficient in terms of communication and computational overhead, making it a viable solution for V2V vehicle communication.

Surpassing the two large emission sectors of transportation and industry, the building sector accounted for 34% and 37% of global energy consumption and carbon emissions in 2021, respectively. The building sector, the final piece to be addressed in the transition to net-zero carbon emissions, requires a comprehensive, multisectoral strategy for reducing emissions. Until now, the absence of data on global building floorspace has impeded the measurement of building carbon intensity (carbon emissions per floorspace) and the identification of ways to achieve carbon neutrality for buildings. For this study, we develop a global building stock model (GLOBUS) to fill that data gap. Our study's primary contribution lies in providing a dataset of global building stock turnover using scenarios that incorporate various levels of building renovation. By unifying the evaluation indicators, the dataset empowers building science researchers to perform comparative analyses based on floorspace. Specifically, the building stock dataset establishes a reference for measuring carbon emission intensity and decarbonization intensity of buildings within different countries. Further, we emphasize the sufficiency of existing buildings by incorporating building renovation into the model. Renovation can minimize the need to expand the building stock, thereby bolstering decarbonization of the building sector.

We compile the measured building stocks for 14 major economies and apply our global building stock model, GLOBUS, to evaluate future trends in stock turnover. Based on a scenario not considering renovation, by 2070 the building stock in developed economies will be ~1.4 times that of 2020 (100 billion m2); in developing economies it is expected to be 2.2 times that of 2020 (313 billion m2). Based on a techno-economic potential scenario, however, stocks in developed economies will decline to approximately 0.8 times the 2020 level, while stocks in developing economies will increase to nearly twice the 2020 level due to their fewer buildings currently. Overall, GLOBUS provides a way of calculating the global building stock, helping scientists, engineers, and policymakers conduct a range of investigation across various future scenarios.

Recently, research on the complex periodic behavior of multi-scale systems has become increasingly popular. Krupa et al. \cite{krupa2} provided a way to obtain relaxation oscillations in slow-fast systems through singular Hopf bifurcations and canard explosion. The authors derived a $O(1)$ expression $A$ for the first Lyapunov coefficient (under the condition $A \neq 0$), and deduced the bifurcation curves of singular Hopf and canard explosions.
This paper employs Blow-up technique, normal form theory, and Lyapunov coefficient formula to present higher-order approximate expressions for the first Lyapunov coefficient when $A=0$ for slow-fast systems. As an application, we investigate the bifurcation phenomena of a predator-prey model with Allee effects. Utilizing the formulas obtained in this paper, we identify both supercritical and subcritical Hopf bifurcations that may occur simultaneously in the system. Numerical simulations validate the results. Finally, by normal form and slow divergence integral theory, we prove the cyclicity of the system is 1.

A study of resonant structures in $B^{+}\rightarrow{D^{\ast+}D^{-}K^{+}}$ and $B^{+}\rightarrow{D^{\ast-}D^{+}K^{+}}$ decays is performed, using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=7, 8$, and $13$ TeV recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$. A simultaneous amplitude fit is performed to the two channels with contributions from resonances decaying to $D^{\ast-}D^{+}$ and $D^{\ast+}D^{-}$ states linked by $C$ parity. This procedure allows the $C$-parities of resonances in the $D^{\ast\pm}D^{\mp}$ mass spectra to be determined. Four charmonium(-like) states are observed decaying into $D^{\ast\pm}D^{\mp}$: $η_c(3945)$, $h_c(4000)$, $χ_{c1}(4010)$ and $h_c(4300)$, with quantum numbers $J^{PC}$ equal to $0^{-+}$, $1^{+-}$, $1^{++}$ and $1^{+-}$, respectively. At least three of these states have not been observed previously. In addition, the existence of the $T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}0}^{*}(2870)^{0}$ and $T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^{*}(2900)^{0}$ resonances in the $D^-K^+$ mass spectrum, already observed in the $B^+ \to D^+ D^- K^+$ decay, is confirmed in a different production channel.

The $h_c \to π^+ π^- π^0$ decay is observed with a significance of 9.6$σ$ after taking into account systematic uncertainties. Evidences for $h_c \to K^+ K^- π^0$ and $h_c \to K^+ K^- η$ are found with significances of $3.5σ$ and $3.3σ$, respectively, after considering the systematic uncertainties. The branching fractions of these decays are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(h_c \to π^+ π^- π^0)=(1.36\pm0.16\pm0.14)\times10^{-3}$, $\mathcal{B}(h_c \to K^+ K^- π^0)=(3.26\pm0.84\pm0.36)\times10^{-4}$, and $\mathcal{B}(h_c \to K^+ K^- η)=(3.13\pm1.08\pm0.38)\times10^{-4}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. No significant signal of $h_c\toπ^+π^-η$ is found, and the upper limit of its decay branching fraction is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(h_c\toπ^+π^-η) < 4.0 \times 10^{-4}$ at 90% confidence level.

We measure the absolute branching fractions of semileptonic $D^+_s$ decays via the $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*+}D_s^{*-}$ process using $e^+e^-$ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $10.64~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.237 and 4.699 GeV. The branching fractions are ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to ηe^+ν_e)=(2.35\pm0.11_{\rm stat}\pm 0.10_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal
B}(D_s^+\to η^\prime e^+ν_e)=(0.82\pm0.09_{\rm stat}\pm 0.04_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to φe^+ν_e)=(2.21\pm0.16_{\rm stat}\pm 0.11_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to f_0(980) e^+ν_e,f_0(980)\toπ^+π^-)=(0.15\pm0.02_{\rm stat}\pm 0.01_{\rm syst})\%,$ ${\mathcal
B}(D_s^+\to K^0 e^+ν_e)=(0.24\pm0.04_{\rm stat}\pm 0.01_{\rm syst})\%,$ and ${\mathcal B}(D_s^+\to K^{*0} e^+ν_e)=(0.19\pm0.03_{\rm stat}\pm 0.01_{\rm syst})\%.$ These results are consistent with those measured via the $e^+e^-\to D_s^{*\pm}D_s^{\mp}$ process by BESIII and CLEO. The hadronic transition form factors $D^+_s\to ηe^+ν_e$, $D^+_s\to η^\prime e^+ν_e$, and $D^+_s\to K^0 e^+ν_e$ at four-momentum transfer squared $q^2$ = 0 are determined to be $f^η_+(0) = 0.482 \pm 0.011_{\rm stat} \pm 0.009_{\rm syst}\pm0.004_{\rm input},$ $f^{η^{\prime}}_+(0) = 0.562 \pm 0.031_{\rm stat} \pm 0.014_{\rm
syst}\pm0.003_{\rm input},$ and $f^{K^0}_+(0) = 0.624 \pm 0.052_{\rm
stat} \pm 0.013_{\rm syst}\pm0.002_{\rm input}.$

A search for radiative decay of $B^0_s$ mesons to orbitally excited $K^+K^-$ states is performed using proton proton collisions recorded by the \mbox{LHCb}\xspace experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9~fb$^{-1}$. The dikaon spectrum in the mass range $m_{KK}<2400$~{\ensuremath{\,\text{Me\kern -0.1em V\!/}c^2}\xspace} is dominated by the $φ(1020)$ resonance that accounts for almost 70$\%$ of the decay rate. Considering the possible contributions of $f_2{(1270)}$, $f'_2{(1525)}$ and $f_2{(2010)}$ meson states, the overall tensor contribution to the amplitude is measured to be \begin{equation}
{\cal F}_{\{f_2\}}=16.8\pm 0.5\mathrm{~(stat.)}\pm0.7\mathrm{~(syst.)}\%,\nonumber \end{equation}
mostly dominated by the $f'_2(1525)$ state. Several statistically equivalent solutions are obtained for the detailed resonant structure depending on whether the smaller amplitudes interfere destructively or constructively with the dominant amplitude. The preferred solution that corresponds to the lowest values of the fit fractions along with constructive interference leads to the relative branching ratio measurement \begin{equation}
\frac{{\cal B}(B^0_s\to f'_2γ)}{{\cal B}(B^0_s\toφγ)}= 19.4^{+0.9}_{-0.8}\mathrm{~(stat.)}{}^{+1.4}_{-0.5}\mathrm{~(syst.)}\pm0.5\mathrm{~(\cal{B})}\%\nonumber, \end{equation} where the last uncertainty is due to the ratio of measured branching fractions to the $K^+K^-$ final state. This result represents the first observation of the radiative $B^0_s\to f'_2(1525)γ$ decay, which is the second radiative transition observed in the $B^0_s$ sector.
