Based on $10.64~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data taken at center-of-mass energies between 4.237 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector, we study the leptonic $D^+_s$ decays using the $e^+e^-\to D^{*+}_{s} D^{*-}_{s}$ process. The branching fractions of $D_s^+\to\ell^+ν_{\ell}\,(\ell=μ,τ)$ are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\toμ^+ν_μ)=(\bfmuv)\%$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\toτ^+ν_τ)=(\bftauv)\%$, respectively. The product of the decay constant and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ is determined to be $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=(\mufdsxvcsresult)_{μν}~\mathrm{MeV}$ and $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=(\taufdsxvcsresult))_{τν}~\mathrm{MeV}$, respectively. Taking the value of $|V_{cs}|$ from a global fit in the Standard Model, we obtain ${f_{D^+_s}}=(\mufdsresult)_{μν}$\,MeV and ${f_{D^+_s}}=(\taufdsresult)_{τν}$\,MeV, respectively. Conversely, taking the value for $f_{D_s^+}$ from the latest lattice quantum chromodynamics calculation, we obtain $|V_{cs}| =(\muvcsresult)_{μν}$ and $|V_{cs}| = (\tauvcsresult)_{τν}$, respectively.

Ferroelectric nitrides have emerged as promising semiconductor materials for modern electronics. However, their domain structures and associated properties are basically unknown, despite their potential to result in optimized or new phenomena. Density functional theory calculations are performed to investigate the effect of epitaxial strain on multidomains of (Al,Sc)N nitride systems and to compare it with the monodomain case. The multidomain systems are predicted to have five strain-induced regions, to be denoted as Regions I to V, respectively. Each of these regions is associated with rather different values or behaviors of physical properties such as axial ratio, polarizations, internal parameters, bond lengths, etc. Of particular interest is the prediction of bent domains under compressive strain extending beyond $-$5.5%, which indicates that domain walls may play a key role in the mechanical failure properties of these systems. Interestingly, such bending induces the creation of a finite in-plane polarization (in addition to out-of-plane dipoles) due to geometric and symmetry considerations. Strikingly too, the bent domains have lower energy than the wurtzite monodomains and have atomically sharp boundaries. Our findings may pave the way for domain wall engineering in ferroelectric nitrides.

The absolute branching fractions of $D_{s1}(2536)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^{*0}K^-$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^0K^-$ are measured for the first time to be $(35.9\pm 4.8\pm 3.5)\%$ and $(37.4\pm 3.1\pm 4.6)\%$, respectively. The measurements are in tension with predictions based on the assumption that the $D_{s1}(2536)$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)$ are dominated by a bare $c\bar{s}$ component. The $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ cross sections are measured, and a resonant structure at around 4.6~GeV with a width of 50~MeV is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $15σ$ in the $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ process. It could be the $Y(4626)$ found by the Belle collaboration in the $D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^{-}$ final state, since they have similar masses and widths. There is also evidence for a structure at around 4.75~GeV in both processes.

The branching fractions of the two decays $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)$ and $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)$ are measured individually to be $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)) = (1.480 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.024)\times\,10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)) = (1.557 \pm 0.003 \pm 0.038)\times\,10^{-3}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Both results are compatible within their uncorrelated systematic uncertainties. The combined result is $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η)=(1.495 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.023)\times\,10^{-3}$ where the first uncertainty is the combined statistical uncertainty and the second one the combined systematic uncertainty of both analyses, incorporating correlations between them. In addition, the $p \bar{p}$ threshold region is investigated for a potential threshold enhancement, and no evidence for one is observed.

Utilizations of silicon-based luminescent devices are restricted by the indirect-gap nature of diamond silicon. In this study, the high-throughput method is employed to expedite discoveries of direct-gap silicon crystals. The machine learning (ML) potential is utilized to construct a dataset comprising 2637 silicon allotropes, which is subsequently screened using an ML Hamiltonian model and density functional theory calculations, resulting in identification of 47 direct-gap Si structures. We calculate transition dipole moments (TDM), energies, and phonon bandstructures of these structures to validate their performance. Additionally, we recalculate bandgaps of these structures employing the HSE06 functional. 22 silicon allotropes are identified as potential photovoltaic materials. Among them, the energy per atom of Si22-Pm, which has a direct bandgap of 1.27 eV, is 0.026 eV/atom higher than diamond silicon. Si18-C2/m, which has a direct bandgap of 0.796 eV, exhibits the highest TDM among identified structures. Si16-P21/c, which has a direct bandgap of 0.907 eV, has the mass density of 2.316 g/cm3, which is the highest among identified structures and higher than that of diamond silicon. The structure Si12-P1, which possesses a direct bandgap of 1.69 eV, exhibits the highest spectroscopic limited maximum efficiency (SLME) among identified structures at 32.28%, surpassing that of diamond silicon. This study offers insights into properties of silicon crystals while presenting a systematic high-throughput method for material discovery.

Recent advancements underscore the critical need to develop ferroelectric materials compatible with silicon. We systematically explore possible ferroelectric silicon quantum films and discover a low-energy variant (hex-OR-2*2-P) with energy just 1 meV/atom above the ground state (hex-OR-2*2). Both hex-OR-2*2 and hex-OR-2*2-P are confirmed to be dynamically and mechanically stable semiconductors with indirect gaps of 1.323 eV and 1.311 eV, respectively. The ferroelectric hex-OR-2*2-P exhibits remarkable in-plane spontaneous polarization up to 120 Pc/m and is protected by a potential barrier (13.33 meV/atom) from spontaneously transitioning to hex-OR-22. To simulate the switching ferroelectricity in electric fields of the single-element silicon bilayer, we develop a method that simultaneously learns interatomic potentials and Born effective charges (BEC) in a single equivariant model with a physically informed loss. Our method demonstrates good performance on several ferroelectrics. Simulations of hex-OR-2*2-P silicon suggest a depolarization temperature of approximately 300 K and a coercive field of about 0.05 V/Å. These results indicate that silicon-based ferroelectric devices are feasible, and the ground state phase of the silicon bilayer (hex-OR-2*2) is an ideal system. Our findings highlight the promise of pure silicon ferroelectric materials for future experimental synthesis and applications in memory devices, sensors, and energy converters.

A Chern insulator hosts topologically protected chiral edge currents with quantized conductance characterized by its Chern number. Switching the chirality of the Chern insulator, namely, the direction of the edge current, is highly challenging due to topologically forbidden backscattering but is of considerable importance for the design of topological devices. Nevertheless, this can be achieved by reversing the sign of the Chern number through a topological phase transition. Here, we report electrically switchable chirality in rhombohedral heptalayer graphene-based Chern insulators. The surface flat band and giant Berry curvature in rhombohedral multilayer graphene provide a highly tunable platform for engineering the topological states. By introducing moire superlattices in rhombohedral heptalayer graphene, we observed a cascade of topological phase transitions at quarter electron filling of a moire band. The Chern number can be continuously tuned from 0, -1, 1 to 2 by electric fields, manifesting as a large anomalous Hall effect and following Streda's formula. Sign reversal and the anomalous Hall effect also occurred at non-integer fillings, suggesting the possibility of electrically tunable topological phase transitions within the regime of fractional Chern insulators. Our work establishes rhombohedral heptalayer graphene moire superlattices as a versatile platform for topological engineering. The realization of switchable chirality enhances the potential application of chiral edge currents in topological circuit interconnects.

The branching fraction of the decay $η_{c}(1S) \to 2(π^{+}π^{-})η$, which is found to have a strong dependence on the interference pattern between $η_c(1S)$ and non-$η_c(1S)$ processes, is measured in both destructive and constructive interference scenarios for the first time. The mass and width of the $η_{c}(1S)$ are measured to be $M=(2984.14 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.38)$ MeV/$c^{2}$ and $Γ=(28.82 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.82)$ MeV, respectively. Clear signals for the decays of the $χ_{cJ}(J=0,1,2)$ and the $η_{c}(2S)$ to $2(π^{+}π^{-})η$ are also observed for the first time, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of the branching fractions between the $η_{c}(2S)$ and $η_{c}(1S)$ decays is significantly lower than the theoretical prediction, which might suggest different dynamics in their decays.

The weak-$CP$ test is performed in the subsequent decays of their daughter particles $Λ$ and $\barΛ$. Also for the first time, the transverse polarizations of the $Σ^0$ hyperons in $J/ψ$ and $ψ(3686)$ decays are observed with opposite directions, and the ratios between the S-wave and D-wave contributions of the $J/ψ, ψ(3686) \to Σ^0 \barΣ^{0}$ decays are obtained. These results are crucial to understand the decay dynamics of the charmonium states and the production mechanism of the $Σ^0-\barΣ^0$ pairs.

We systematically investigate the effects of Kitaev interaction on magnetic orders and anisotropy in both triangular and honeycomb lattices. Our study highlights the critical role of the Kitaev interaction in modulating phase boundaries and predicting new phases, e.g., zigzag phase in triangular lattice and AABB phase in honeycomb lattice, which are absent with pure Heisenberg interactions. Moreover, we reveal the special state-dependent anisotropy of Kitaev interaction, and develop a general method that can determine the presence of Kitaev interaction in different magnets. It is found that the Kitaev interaction does not induce anisotropy in some magnetic orders such as ferromagnetic order, while can cause different anisotropy in other magnetic orders. Furthermore, we emphasize that the off-diagonal $Γ$ interaction also contributes to anisotropy, competing with the Kitaev interaction to reorient spin arrangements. Our work establishes a framework for comprehensive understanding the impact of Kitaev interaction on ordered magnetism.

Kitaev spin liquid is proposed to be promisingly realized in low spin-orbit coupling $3d$ systems, represented by Na$_3$Co$_2$SbO$_6$ and Na$_3$Ni$_2$BiO$_6$. However, the existence of Kitaev interaction is still debatable among experiments, and obtaining the strength of Kitaev interaction from first-principles calculations is also challenging. Here, we report the state-dependent anisotropy of Kitaev interaction, based on which a convenient method is developed to rapidly determine the strength of Kitaev interaction. Applying such method and density functional theory calculations, it is found that Na$_3$Co$_2$SbO$_6$ with $3d^7$ configuration exhibits considerable ferromagnetic Kitaev interaction. Moreover, by further applying the symmetry-adapted cluster expansion method, a realistic spin model is determined for Na$_3$Ni$_2$BiO$_6$ with $3d^8$ configuration. Such model indicates negligible small Kitaev interaction, but it predicts many properties, such as ground states and field effects, which are well consistent with measurements. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the heavy elements, Sb or Bi, located at the hollow sites of honeycomb lattice, do not contribute to emergence of Kitaev interaction through proximity, contradictory to common belief. The presently developed anisotropy method will be beneficial not only for computations but also for measurements.

Alignment is the most critical step in building large language models (LLMs) that meet human needs. With the rapid development of LLMs gradually surpassing human capabilities, traditional alignment methods based on human-annotation are increasingly unable to meet the scalability demands. Therefore, there is an urgent need to explore new sources of automated alignment signals and technical approaches. In this paper, we systematically review the recently emerging methods of automated alignment, attempting to explore how to achieve effective, scalable, automated alignment once the capabilities of LLMs exceed those of humans. Specifically, we categorize existing automated alignment methods into 4 major categories based on the sources of alignment signals and discuss the current status and potential development of each category. Additionally, we explore the underlying mechanisms that enable automated alignment and discuss the essential factors that make automated alignment technologies feasible and effective from the fundamental role of alignment.

Recently, 3D Gaussian Splatting(3DGS) has revolutionized neural rendering with its high-quality rendering and real-time speed. However, when it comes to indoor scenes with a significant number of textureless areas, 3DGS yields incomplete and noisy reconstruction results due to the poor initialization of the point cloud and under-constrained optimization. Inspired by the continuity of signed distance field (SDF), which naturally has advantages in modeling surfaces, we present a unified optimizing framework integrating neural SDF with 3DGS. This framework incorporates a learnable neural SDF field to guide the densification and pruning of Gaussians, enabling Gaussians to accurately model scenes even with poor initialized point clouds. At the same time, the geometry represented by Gaussians improves the efficiency of the SDF field by piloting its point sampling. Additionally, we regularize the optimization with normal and edge priors to eliminate geometry ambiguity in textureless areas and improve the details. Extensive experiments in ScanNet and ScanNet++ show that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance in both surface reconstruction and novel view synthesis.

The branching fractions of these decays are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c0}\toΛ\barΛω)=({2.37 \pm 0.22 \pm 0.23}) \times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\toΛ\barΛω)=({1.01 \pm 0.10 \pm 0.11}) \times 10^{-4}$, and $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c2}\toΛ\barΛω)=({1.40 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.17}) \times 10^{-4}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. We observe no clear intermediate structures.

The stacking order and twist angle provide abundant opportunities for engineering band structures of two-dimensional materials, including the formation of moire bands, flat bands, and topologically nontrivial bands. The inversion symmetry breaking in rhombohedral-stacked transitional metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) endows them with an interfacial ferroelectricity associated with an out-of-plane electric polarization. By utilizing twist angle as a knob to construct rhombohedral-stacked TMDCs, antiferroelectric domain networks with alternating out-of-plane polarization can be generated. Here, we demonstrate that such spatially periodic ferroelectric polarizations in parallel-stacked twisted WSe2 can imprint their moire potential onto a remote bilayer graphene. This remote moire potential gives rise to pronounced satellite resistance peaks besides the charge-neutrality point in graphene, which are tunable by the twist angle of WSe2. Our observations of ferroelectric hysteresis at finite displacement fields suggest the moire is delivered by a long-range electrostatic potential. The constructed superlattices by moire ferroelectricity represent a highly flexible approach, as they involve the separation of the moire construction layer from the electronic transport layer. This remote moire is identified as a weak potential and can coexist with conventional moire. Our results offer a comprehensive strategy for engineering band structures and properties of two-dimensional materials by utilizing moire ferroelectricity.

The ratio $R_{h_c}=\frac{\mathscr{B}(h_c\rightarrowγη)}{\mathscr{B}(h_c\rightarrowγη^\prime)}$ is calculated to be $(27.0\pm4.4\pm1.0)\%$. The measurements are consistent with the previous results with improved precision by a factor of 2. The results are valuable for gaining a deeper understanding of $η-η^\prime$ mixing, and its manifestation within quantum chromodynamics. No significant signal is found for the decay $h_c\rightarrowγπ^{0}$, and an upper limit is placed on its branching fraction of $\mathscr{B}(h_c\rightarrowγπ^{0})<5.0\times10^{-5}$, at the 90\% confidence level.

Although quantum entanglement is an important resource, its characterization is quite challenging. The partial transposition is a common method to detect bipartite entanglement. In this paper, the authors study the partial-transpose(PT)-moments of two-qubit states, and completely describe the whole region, composed of the second and third PT-moments, for all two-qubit states. Furthermore, they determine the accurate region corresponding to all entangled two-qubit states. The states corresponding to those boundary points of the whole region, and to the border lines between separable and entangled states are analyzed. As an application, they characterize the entangled region of PT-moments for the two families of Werner states and Bell-diagonal states. The relations between entanglement and the pairs of PT-moments are revealed from these typical examples. They also numerically plot the whole region of possible PT-moments for all two-qubit X-states, and find that this region is almost the same as the whole region of PT-moments for all two-qubit states. Moreover, they extend their results to detect the entanglement of multiqubit states. By utilizing the PT-moment-based method to characterize the entanglement of the multiqubit states mixed by the GHZ and W states, they propose an operational way of verifying the genuine entanglement in such states.

Traditional ferroelectrics are limited by Neumann's principle, which confines exploration of ferroelectrics within polar point groups. Our recent work [Nat. Commun. 15, 135, (2024)] proposes the concept of fractional quantum ferroelectricity (FQFE) that extend the playground of ferroelectricity to non-polar point groups. Here, we apply group theory and introduce an efficient symmetry strategy to identify FQFE candidates. Integrated with a high-throughput screening scheme, we go through 171,527 materials and identify 202 potential FQFE candidates, which are already experimentally synthesized. In addition, we point out that the essence of FQFE is fractional atomic displacements with respect to lattice vectors, which can actually result in both fractional (type-I) and integer (type-II) quantized polarization, respectively. Through performing first-principles calculations, we verify the symmetry-predicted switchable FQFE properties in bulk AlAgS2 and monolayer HgI2. Notably, AlAgS2 exhibits an ultra-low switching barrier of 23 meV/f.u. and interlocked in-plane/out-of-plane polarization, while HgI2 demonstrates large spontaneous polarization of 42 μC/cm2. Our findings not only advance the understanding on FQFE, but also offer guidance for experimental exploration and design of novel ferroelectric materials.

Ordinal regression is a specialized supervised problem where the labels show an inherent order. The order distinguishes it from normal multi-class problem. Support Vector Ordinal Regression, as an outstanding ordinal regression model, is widely used in many ordinal regression tasks. However, like most supervised learning algorithms, the design of SVOR is based on the assumption that the training data are real and reliable, which is difficult to satisfy in real-world data. In many practical applications, outliers are frequently present in the training set, potentially leading to misguide the learning process, such that the performance is non-optimal. In this paper, we propose a novel capped $\ell_{p}$-norm loss function that is theoretically robust to both light and heavy outliers. The capped $\ell_{p}$-norm loss can help the model detect and eliminate outliers during training process. Adhering to this concept, we introduce a new model, Capped $\ell_{p}$-Norm Support Vector Ordinal Regression(CSVOR), that is robust to outliers. CSVOR uses a weight matrix to detect and eliminate outliers during the training process to improve the robustness to outliers. Moreover, a Re-Weighted algorithm algorithm which is illustrated convergence by our theoretical results is proposed to effectively minimize the corresponding problem. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our model outperforms state-of-the-art(SOTA) methods, particularly in the presence of outliers.

Physical function monitoring (PFM) plays a crucial role in healthcare especially for the elderly. Traditional assessment methods such as the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) have failed to capture the full dynamic characteristics of physical function. Wearable sensors such as smart wristbands offer a promising solution to this issue. However, challenges exist, such as the computational complexity of machine learning methods and inadequate information capture. This paper proposes a multi-modal PFM framework based on an improved TimeMAE, which compresses time-series data into a low-dimensional latent space and integrates a self-enhanced attention module. This framework achieves effective monitoring of physical health, providing a solution for real-time and personalized assessment. The method is validated using the NHATS dataset, and the results demonstrate an accuracy of 70.6% and an AUC of 82.20%, surpassing other state-of-the-art time-series classification models.

Ferroelectricity is intriguing for its spontaneous electric polarization, which is switchable by an external electric field. Expanding ferroelectric materials to two-dimensional limit will provide versatile applications for the development of next-generation nonvolatile devices. Conventional ferroelectricity requires the materials consisting of at least two constituent elements associated with polar crystalline structures. Monolayer graphene as an elementary two-dimensional material unlikely exhibits ferroelectric order due to its highly centrosymmetric hexagonal lattices. Nevertheless, two-dimensional moire superlattices offer a powerful way to engineer diverse electronic orders in non-polar materials. Here, we report the observations of electronic ferroelectricity in monolayer graphene by introducing asymmetric moire superlattice at the graphene/h-BN interface. Utilizing Hall measurements, the electric polarization is identified to stem from electron-hole dipoles, suggesting the electronic dynamics of the observed ferroelectricity. Standard polarization-electric field hysteresis loops, as well as unconventional multiple switchable polarization states, have been achieved. By in-situ comparing with control devices, we found that the electronic ferroelectricity in graphene moire systems is independent of layer number of graphene and the corresponding fine band structures. Furthermore, we demonstrate the applications of this ferroelectric moire structures in multi-state non-volatile data storage and the emulation of versatile synaptic behaviors, including short-term plasticity, long-term potentiation and long-term depression. This work not only enriches the fundamental understanding of ferroelectricity, but also demonstrates the promising applications of graphene in multi-state memories and neuromorphic computing.

The \emph{CP} asymmetries in these decays are also measured and all are found to be compatible with zero.

Electro-optic (EO) effects relate the change of optical constants by low-frequency electric fields. Thanks to the advent of Density Functional Perturbation Theory (DFPT), the EO properties of bulk three-dimensional (3D) materials can now be calculated in an ab initio way. However, the use of periodic boundary conditions in most Density Functional Theory codes imposes to simulate two-dimensional (2D) materials using slabs surrounded by a large layer of vacuum. The EO coefficients predicted from such calculations, if not rescaled properly, can severely deviate from the real EO properties of 2D materials. The present work discusses the issue and introduces the rescaling relationships allowing to recover the true EO properties.

Recent advancements in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technologies have enabled autonomous vehicles to share sensing information to see through occlusions, greatly boosting the perception capability. However, there are no real-world datasets to facilitate the real V2X cooperative perception research -- existing datasets either only support Vehicle-to-Infrastructure cooperation or Vehicle-to-Vehicle cooperation. In this paper, we propose a dataset that has a mixture of multiple vehicles and smart infrastructure simultaneously to facilitate the V2X cooperative perception development with multi-modality sensing data. Our V2X-Real is collected using two connected automated vehicles and two smart infrastructures, which are all equipped with multi-modal sensors including LiDAR sensors and multi-view cameras. The whole dataset contains 33K LiDAR frames and 171K camera data with over 1.2M annotated bounding boxes of 10 categories in very challenging urban scenarios. According to the collaboration mode and ego perspective, we derive four types of datasets for Vehicle-Centric, Infrastructure-Centric, Vehicle-to-Vehicle, and Infrastructure-to-Infrastructure cooperative perception. Comprehensive multi-class multi-agent benchmarks of SOTA cooperative perception methods are provided. The V2X-Real dataset and benchmark codes will be released.

We report a first study of the semileptonic decay $D^0\rightarrow K^-π^0μ^{+}ν_μ$ by analyzing an $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sample of $7.9~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. The absolute branching fraction of $D^0\to K^-π^0μ^{+}ν_μ$ is measured for the first time to be $(0.729 \pm 0.014_{\rm stat} \pm 0.011_{\rm syst})\%$. Based on an amplitude analysis, the $S\text{-}{\rm wave}$ contribution is determined to be $(5.76 \pm 0.35_{\rm stat} \pm 0.29_{\rm syst})\%$ of the total decay rate in addition to the dominated $K^{*}(892)^-$ component. The branching fraction of $D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ$ is given to be $(2.062 \pm 0.039_{\rm stat} \pm 0.032_{\rm syst})\%$, which improves the precision of the world average by a factor of 5. Combining with the world average of ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)$, the ratio of the branching fractions obtained is $\frac{{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-μ^+ν_μ)}{{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)} = 0.96\pm0.08$, in agreement with lepton flavor universality. Furthermore, assuming single-pole dominance parameterization, the most precise hadronic form factor ratios for $D^0\to K^{*}(892)^{-} μ^+ν_μ$ are extracted to be $r_{V}=V(0)/A_1(0)=1.37 \pm 0.09_{\rm stat} \pm 0.03_{\rm syst}$ and $r_{2}=A_2(0)/A_1(0)=0.76 \pm 0.06_{\rm stat} \pm 0.02_{\rm syst}$.

Anomaly detection is a longstanding and active research area that has many applications in domains such as finance, security, and manufacturing. However, the efficiency and performance of anomaly detection algorithms are challenged by the large-scale, high-dimensional, and heterogeneous data that are prevalent in the era of big data. Isolation-based unsupervised anomaly detection is a novel and effective approach for identifying anomalies in data. It relies on the idea that anomalies are few and different from normal instances, and thus can be easily isolated by random partitioning. Isolation-based methods have several advantages over existing methods, such as low computational complexity, low memory usage, high scalability, robustness to noise and irrelevant features, and no need for prior knowledge or heavy parameter tuning. In this survey, we review the state-of-the-art isolation-based anomaly detection methods, including their data partitioning strategies, anomaly score functions, and algorithmic details. We also discuss some extensions and applications of isolation-based methods in different scenarios, such as detecting anomalies in streaming data, time series, trajectory, and image datasets. Finally, we identify some open challenges and future directions for isolation-based anomaly detection research.

Declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge are two key parts in meta-cognitive theory, and these two hold significant importance in pre-training and inference of LLMs. However, a comprehensive analysis comparing these two types of knowledge is lacking, primarily due to challenges in definition, probing and quantitative assessment. In this paper, we explore from a new perspective by providing ground-truth knowledge for LLMs and evaluating the effective score. Through extensive experiments with widely-used datasets and models, we get conclusions: (1) In most tasks, benefits from declarative knowledge are greater than those from procedural knowledge. (2) Profits of procedural knowledge are larger than declarative knowledge only in reasoning tasks with simple logic. (3) As pre-training progresses and size increases, model ability to utilize both kinds of knowledge significantly improves, but in different speed. We do detailed analysis for the findings and this can provide primary guidance for evaluation and enhancement of large language models.
