Railroad crossbuck signs are found where rail road tracks cross a public highway.They should be treated the same as a yield sign, and the driver should slow down and be prepared to stop if a train is approaching. If there is more than one track, a sign below the cross-buck indicates the number of tracks at the crossing.

This is part of the the BC Forestry Discovery Museum railroad which winds its way through the forested property. I wonder what's up around the bend.

The first railroad was made in 1828 by John Stevens. Now, you didn't have to only use water to move, and you were able to travel om land as well. Also, then the road doesn't get frozen like the water does in the winter, causing transportation and shipping to be more efficient.
