My overall direction was inspired by @the_curated_attic and her iconic oak bases and dark moody colors. As soon as I got this dresser I knew it’d be the perfect candidate. I finally managed to film most all the steps, except of course the base, which I promise I’ll do once I do more of these. Jessica Faulkenberry | Furniture Flips & DIY on Instagram: "I was so torn on whether or not to go dark or light on this dresser but you guys came through! You voted light and it turned out so good! Thank you!❤️ I used my carbide scraper to get the majority of the finish off, which saved me a lot of time when it came to sanding. Then, I used 120 grit to sand the whole thing down. This wood had some red undertones so I used a little bit of sage green paint mixed with tan paint (50/50 water and paint), brushed it on, then wiped it off immediately. As a final step I used @varathane water-based poly in satin using a stain pad applicator and TA-DA!
