Last week in the spirit of NAIDOC week, the team at Hive got together to watch a screening of The Final Quarter - an Australian documentary that exposes the racial vilification that Adam Goodes, champion footballer and Indigenous leader, endured during his AFL career. It was a valuable opportunity for the team to consider and discuss the concept of casual racism, racism in sports and how very far we still need to go on our reconciliation journey. #ItsTheWayWeDoIt #NAIDOCWeek #HiveLegal #CommercialLaw #TheFinalQuater

NAIDOC Week (National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee) occurs annually in July. This week is dedicated to celebrating and recognising the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year's theme invites everyone to stand in solidarity, amplify voices that have long been silenced, and celebrate the unyielding spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. At Hive, we look forward to the celebrations, discussions, and actions this week will inspire. We want to play our part in striving towards a future where the stories, traditions, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are cherished and celebrated, enriching the fabric of our nation with the wisdom of the world's oldest living culture.
