The Hi-Drive project is the largest EU-funded research project on automated driving. ☀️🚘 Euro NCAP attends Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Region I Summer Cocktail 🚘☀️ On 26 June, Euro NCAP joined over 100 stakeholders from the transport and mobility sector at the annual #SummerCocktail hosted by FIA Region I in Brussels, Belgium. Euro NCAP has maintained a long-standing cooperation with FIA Region I to guarantee that mobility is accessible, sustainable, and secure for all. This collaboration is reinforced by the opportunity to interact with EU leaders and representatives of mobility organisations at this networking event. 🤝 Laurianne Krid, FIA Region I Director General, presented their Mobility Manifesto and highlighted four key priorities: keep mobility accessible and affordable for all, leave no one behind in the transition to clean and sustainable mobility, leverage benefits of digitalisation, and increase road safety. 📑 Today, we release our latest study highlighting recommendations for the Vision Zero policy framework, with a specific emphasis on addressing the needs of the elderly. Vision Zero is a road safety framework that stipulates no one should lose their life in road accidents. Its principles are based on the safe-systems approach, which underscores the mutual responsibility between road users and traffic authorities.
