Significant traffic changes are coming next week on the Grant Marsh Bridge on Interstate 94 between Bismarck and Mandan as construction work continues.
On Monday, traffic will start to use the outer east- and westbound lanes; then beginning Wednesday, traffic will switch to head-to-head in the eastbound lanes, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
Crews have removed the temporary ramp at westbound Exit 156, allowing drivers to continue onto Bismarck Expressway by using the original loop ramp.
Structural improvements have been made on the eastbound section of the bridge including replacing concrete at the finger joints on the bridge deck, constructing new approach slabs, and resetting the guardrail removed for construction.
The traffic changes will enable crews to continue the project on the westbound side of the bridge.
