Yesterday, Brother and Plan Canada made my day. I represented the Girls Belong Here program and had an amazing job shadowing experience with Brother Canada. My day began with a tour of the company and warehouse, followed by a private meeting with the President of Brother Canada, Steven Sandler. It was a meaningful conversation with valuable advice for my career path. Then, I had a session with Brother's talent acquisition team, providing feedback about the company and its image. Later, I enjoyed lunch with senior females at Brother, followed by an engaging Q&A session with 40 women from the company. What amazed me most about this day was the immediate sense of value and respect I felt upon arriving. Everyone seemed to put me on a pedestal; they had already familiarized themselves with my bio, life, and work. It was a beautiful and meaningful job shadowing experience.
