We're thrilled to share that Claire Garwacki is featured at the top of Moneycab's newsletter today! https://lnkd.in/enCfx3fB Dive into the interview to discover our golden rules for recruiting CFOs and their teams. The article also explores the concept of the "CFO of the future" and examines the impact of unconscious bias in the recruitment process. Additionally, we revisit the inspiring In Her Chair journey with the team Nathalie Agosti (communication Outlive - Advisory) Philippe Weibel (film producer), and Sophie Winkler-Payot (serial entrepreneur). Claudia Wintsch and Sarah Baumgartner from elliott AG : thank you for this opportunity to spread the word, once again on unconscious biais at work and their impact on decision making process ! Even if you think you are not biased you are biased. We're All in the Same Boat If you think your organization is unique in facing challenges, you are not alone! At the end of the day, we're all navigating through similar turbulences. Here are the top 10 phrases we hear from our clients, revealing that all companies are rowing in the same direction. A touch of humor to describe the contemporary topics we all share: increasing #WorkComplexity, the challenges of #Transformation and #Relocation, the rising #Burnout inside companies(*), the #GenerationGap, #DiversityAndInclusion, and of course, the pressure towards #ArtificialIntelligence. (*) Switzerland is experiencing an upswing in #burnout symptoms and work-related stress among its employees. https://lnkd.in/ep4zJWmC Bellevue Executive Search Claire Garwacki Marco Ferrarotti

Navigating as an interim finance manager is more challenging than one could imagine. This post is to express with a touch of humor our admiration for you, interim CFOs and interim finance managers : we watch you doing a great job and being maybe a bit overlooked (?) High expectations, urgent situations, but also being the first point of blame if things falter—it's a demanding role that requires resilience, flexibility, expertise and humility. You are often so called "senior profiles" and the younger managers can learn from your experience and attitude. You are a rising force in the market and companies will need you more and more. #InterimFinance #Challenges #Resilience #FinanceManagement #CareersAfter50 #ProfessionalExperience #CombatAgeism #unconsciousbias #GenerationalInclusion #InterimExecutives Bellevue Executive Search Claire Garwacki Marco Ferrarotti Ludovic Robert Garret

Reduce your employee turnover: Pay isn't usually the issue. Has an employee ever handed you their resignation due to low pay? Was it truly about wages? We asked our candidates and our findings are somewhat somber. In 80% of the cases where low pay is cited for resignations, it's masking another reason: a relationship issue, typically involving ONE other individual at work, consciously or not. Whether it's the manager, a colleague, or a direct report, communicating internal discord is difficult for departing employees. There's a strong expectation to leave on good terms, so people often avoid causing trouble. Instead, candidates may say, “I'm not paid enough,” “I disagree with the strategy,” “I'm under too much pressure,” or “I don't fit into the culture.” What do these stats mean for employers? Don't take salary complaints at face value. It's (almost) never just about money (nor about strategy). We see companies losing valuable employees due to interpersonal issues without realizing it. Having the courage to tackle interpersonal issues may not be easy, but it can prevent additional resignations down the line. #humanresources #jobinterviews #recruitment #employeebenefits #helpingpeople #unconsciousbias Claire Garwacki Marco Ferrarotti Cyrielle Perrot Bellevue Executive Search In Her Chair

Boring interview vs lively interview. A common risk in an interview... is to lose your interlocutor. You might be excellent at your job, but if the interviewer does not follow you, they cannot hire you. This is often what happens when describing your career chronologically. To make sure you keep us with you: 1) make it short and visual (have a story) 2) start with your key message, which should involve a benefit for your interlocutor 3) pick examples / evidence to illustrate your point 4) repeat your message… and ask for questions. The interview can start! Last but not least : prepare your small talk. This is an opportunity to show who you are. It is a shame to waste this precious time because of improvisation. Bellevue Executive Search wishes you an excellent weekend! Claire Garwacki

Today Marco Ferrarotti (my business partner) checked our KPIs of the last 12 months. We are proud of this one : 57 days from order to placement, on average, positioning Bellevue Executive Search and Bellevue Finance Recruitment far beyond the market average (above four months). Those were all finance recruitments, from CFO to accounting, covering finance transformation and manufacturing controlling. We were active in cantons Zürich, Bern, Zug, Basel, Geneva, Fribourg and Graubünden. In the pipeline ? According to our clients, the difficult roles to fill are: - ESG finance (new trend 2024) - Finance transformation (over and again since 2019) - Senior accountants speaking German (since decades) - Group Accountants (or "consolidation") specialized in IFRS - in the startup world : CFOs with a network and ability to fundraise. "When to Share Your CV with a Headhunter - and When Not To" Hello everyone! Today, I'd like to share an insight based on my experience as a headhunter. This question comes up frequently, and I hope this post can provide some clarity. When NOT to Share Your CV: It's often best to refrain from proactively sharing your CV with a headhunter. Why? Ironically, staying under the radar can make you stand out more. When sharing your CV, you're implicitly signaling that you're actively seeking a new job (although we know it's rarely that straightforward) which means, essentially, that you've joined the group of those who ask : now the ball is in OUR court. However, we should remember that a headhunter's primary mission – the reason our clients pay us – is to identify hidden talent. We're here to persuade you to consider new opportunities. We're supposed to be "hunters" (not the best term, I agree...). In this scenario, my suggestion is to ensure we discover you instead of the other way around. To achieve this: a) Maintain a robust LinkedIn profile with the right settings (location, keywords etc) b) Actively network so your reputation can speak for itself. c) Aim for introductions rather than direct requests. d) Meet with us but not as candidates (!) come to our events, work with us, etc. When to Share Your CV: On the flip side, when a headhunter posts a job ad, that's your cue! It indicates that the headhunter is actively seeking candidates. In this case, don't hesitate to share your CV. The law of supply and demand works in your favor here. This time the ball is in your court. What will make the difference here : your motivation to change job. Go for it, and you may not even need to send a cover letter (from what I've seen, they often go unread...). Remember, strategically timing when to share your CV can significantly impact how you're perceived in the job market. #CareerAdvice #HeadhunterInsights Bellevue Executive Search Claire Garwacki
