A Phenomenon that Changed the Fight Against ALS

In recognition of Global ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Awareness Day and the 10th anniversary of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, United Way interviewed its local safety net nonprofit partner, the ALS Association. The discussion focused on the advancements and ongoing struggles for individuals living with ALS and how United Way’s support sustains crucial programs and advances the fight against ALS.

100 Neediest Cases Raises Nearly $1.6 Million

Thank you to our generous donors who gave to the 100 Neediest Cases program that raised almost $1.6 million, helping over 13,500 local people. United Way of Greater St. Louis, in partnership with the Post Dispatch and 58 area social service agencies absorbs all the administrative costs allowing 100% of the funds to go directly to those in need.
