Albéa Group CEO François Tassart visited our Indian subsidiaries this week to review business activity with a focus on environment, social and governance (ESG) targets. He presented a Long Service Award to Lester Pinto, Cluster General Manager & Vice President Albéa South Asia & Africa, for completing 25 years in the group. Albéa is present in India with two industrial sites in Goa and Baddi where our team manufactures laminate tubes for oral care, cosmetics and pharmaceutical markets as well as injection-moulded components for tube laminate packaging. Albéa Baddi also offers assembly capacities for Cosmetics & Fragrance packaging. Team members at Albéa Argonne were thrilled to take part in the Olympic Torch Relay, passing through the town of Sainte-Ménéhould, in the hearth of the Champagne region where our site is located. Albéa Argonne is our European center of excellence for laminate and plastic tubes for the cosmetics and personal care. For this special occasion, we manufactured a beautiful tube filled with a shower gel formula that was distributed to the town and employees. Les équipes d’Albéa Argonne ont eu la fierté et la joie de participer au passage de la flamme olympique dans la commune de Sainte-Méhéhould en région Champagne, où l’usine est située. Albéa Argonne est notre centre d’excellence européen pour les tubes laminés et plastique, destinés aux marchés cosmétiques et des soins et de l’hygiène. Gabriel Njami, Responsable RH chez Albéa Tubes, nous en dit plus sur l’organisation de la Semaine de la Qualité de Vie au Travail (SQVT) au siège du groupe à Gennevilliers. « Cette année, nous avons choisi d’étendre la SQVT sur une quinzaine de jours pour proposer davantage d’activités : séances de massage assis suivies d'une conférence sur la gestion du stress, atelier de sophrologie en groupe pour travailler la respiration. Le champion de natation Camille Lacourt a donné une conférence sur la résilience, l'importance du sport et ses bienfaits dans le milieu professionnel. Nos équipes apprécient de pouvoir prendre du recul et de se retrouver dans un cadre plus convivial et détendu. Ces moments de respiration sont essentiels. Les employés d’Albéa sont très impliqués et il est important de pouvoir déconnecter, même sur son lieu de travail. En juin, la Semaine de la Qualité de Vie au Travail (QVT) permet de sensibiliser employeurs et employés à des facteurs tels que l'environnement de travail, l'équilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie privée, et la santé mentale et physique. En collaboration étroite avec le Comité Social et Économique (CSE), nous sommes constamment à la recherche de moyens pour améliorer le bien-être au travail et offrir un environnement de travail sain où les relations bienveillantes entre collègues encouragent la créativité et l'innovation. » Gabriel Njami – HR Manager at Albéa Tubes – tells us more about organizing the Quality of Life at Work week at Albéa’s headquarters in Gennevilliers. “This year, we decided to offer various activities: sitting massage sessions followed by a conference on stress management and a collective workshop on sophrology to learn simple breathing techniques. Swimming champion Camille Lacourt gave a talk on resilience and the benefits of sport, including in a professional setting. Our teams enjoyed taking a step back in a more relaxed frame. These pauses are essential. Employees at Albéa are highly committed and it is important to be able to disconnect, even in the workplace. Every June, Quality of Life at Work Week raises both employer and employees’ awareness on drivers such as work environment, work / life balance, mental & physical health. In close collaboration with our employee representatives, we constantly look for ways to improve wellbeing and to foster a healthy environment where benevolent work relationships encourage creativity and innovation.”

Albéa and ITALGEN SpA have signed two agreements to supply our two Italian plants with 100% green electricity. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) covers the supply of 18 GWh per year of renewable energy for the Albéa Cosmetic Italy’s plant in Bottanuco and for Albéa Tubes Italy’s plant in Tortona [...], which represents the consumption of approximately 6 400 families, saving over 5 500 tons of C02. “Italgen is pleased to contribute in a crucial manner to Albéa’s decarbonation objectives in Italy.” said Luca Musicco, Italgen’s Managing Director. [...] “We are satisfied with the signing of these PPAs in Italy, a country in which we have been present for over 40 years with two important production sites, where 500 people are employed“ commented Stefano Rotella, Plant Manager at Albéa Cosmetics Italy. “With this agreement, we accelerate our ecological transition by eliminating an important part of our Italian sites’ carbon footprint, to the benefit of our customers who operate in a the high end cosmetic market where social and environmental impact matter for consumers."
