What Loans Qualify: Most federal, state, and private loans will qualify, so long as they were used to pay for the relevant health professional degree.
How Much?: Physicians and dentists can receive up to $151,841 in forgiveness over the course of four years, while other health professionals (such as registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, dental hygienists, physician assistants, clinical social workers, clinical psychologists, and professional counselors) can earn up to $83,510 over four years. 18% of the eligible debt can be forgiven after the first year, followed by 26% after the second, and 28% each after the third and fourth years.
