What is the Sam's Instant Savings Program?
Instant Savings is a Membership benefit that delivers on our promise of Savings Made Simple by offering our Members a way to enjoy additional savings on top of our already terrific prices at Sam’s Club on products and services in the Club.
Instant Savings are limited-time promotional discounts that are electronically loaded to your Membership card, so at the time of purchase on a designated item with an Instant Savings offer-the discount is immediately applied at the point of sale.
As an active Member, you can access your Instant Savings through your online account on SamsClub.com, or on the Sam’s Club mobile app. Each of these options offers a variety of ways to interact and manage your Instant Savings – from viewing, sorting, printing or emailing. You must be registered on SamsClub.com to use online or mobile app functions.
Where is the Instant Savings program available?
Currently, the Instant Savings program is available in all U.S. Sam’s Club locations excluding Puerto Rico, and offers are subject to Club availability.
Do I need to be a Sam’s Club Member to receive Instant Savings?
YES, you must be an active Sam’s Club Member to receive Instant Savings. Company cards and Direct Memberships do not receive Instant Savings.
Do all Sam's Club Members receive Instant Savings?
NO. Company cards and Direct Memberships do not receive Instant Savings.
Are Instant Savings the same as coupons?
NO, the only similarity is that they both offer discounts. The differences include: Instant Savings are unique to each Membership account and there is no need to clip paper vouchers or scan bar codes to redeem.
Do we guarantee savings with Instant Savings?
Because a Member’s savings depends on the number of offers they redeem, we cannot guarantee any level of savings. We are committed to delivering exceptional quality at an unparalleled value.
You can check the value of how many Instant Savings you have been offered in your “My Instant Savings” account on SamsClub.com or on the mobile app.
How does the Instant Savings program work?
You are assigned Instant Savings offers. The Instant Savings are then electronically loaded to your Membership card. When you purchase an item, the Instant Savings offer is automatically deducted at the point of sale.
Do I have to pay extra to participate?
NO
Are Instant Savings based on how much I spend?
NO, various programs within Sam’s Club utilize Instant Savings based on multiple Member variables.
Is the Instant Savings Book the only Instant Savings that I will receive?
NO. Instant Savings is a platform used by various areas across Sam’s Club. New Instant Savings are also loaded to your Membership at varying intervals.
Checking/ Notification of Instant Savings
How do Members check their Instant Savings account?
SamsClub.com: An active Membership can access their Instant Savings through their online account on SamsClub.com, or on the Sam’s Club mobile app.
Desktop: The website is constantly updated with your Instant Savings information under the Your Account > Instant Savings section of your online account.
Mobile App: You can have your Instant Savings with you at all times by downloading the free Sam’s Club Mobile App (available for iPhone and Android devices).
Do I need to download my Instant Savings in order to use them?
NO, active Instant Savings are automatically loaded to your Membership card and redeemed at the point of sale, when the Instant Savings item is scanned and purchased. Some Sam’s Club programs like New Member Treasure Hunt do require steps from a Member.
How often will I receive new Instant Savings?
New Instant Savings are loaded to your Membership card at varying intervals. The Sam’s Club Instant Savings Book, ISB, is the only regularly scheduled program that extends Instant Savings to all Members.
Will I be able to see what Instant Savings I’ve redeemed or find a summary of my savings?
Your purchase receipt or Scan & Go App is the best resource for quickly seeing Instant Savings redeemed and how much saved on a trip. The Instant Savings Account page is another great resource for you to see Instant Savings received and redeemed.
Instant Savings Offers
What types of items and offers will I receive with the Instant Savings program?
The types of Instant Savings range from dollar off to percentage off on a wide variety of products and services available at your local Sam’s Club.
How long is an Instant Savings offer valid?
Instant Savings durations vary. The Instant Savings available date and expiration date are always listed beside the item listing on the account page or promotional materials. Typically, IS offers last around 30-days before expiration, exceptions may apply.
How often are Instant Savings updated?
Instant Savings are applied to your account at varying times.
Does a household complimentary card also receive Instant Savings?
The Instant Savings assigned to your Membership account are for the household and thus, are shared by both the Primary and complimentary cardholders. This also applies for add-on cards and their complimentary card. If an Instant Savings is redeemed by either Member, it is removed from the account upon redemption.
How will Members know if Instant Savings have been added to their account?
SamsClub.com: The website is constantly updated with your Instant Savings information under the My Sam’s Club > My Instant Savings section of your account. From the website, you can print out or email an “Instant Savings List” for quick shopping reference. Make sure to check back regularly.
Mobile App: You can now have your Instant Savings with you at all times by downloading the free Sam’s Club Mobile App.
How many Instant Savings will I receive in a month? A year?
New Instant Savings are loaded at varying intervals. The amount of offers that you receive is dependent on the promotions you have selected and based on promotional objectives.
Redeeming Instant Savings
How do I redeem Instant Savings?
Redemption could not be any easier! Simply bring the Instant Savings item to the register or purchase online once it’s scanned – the Instant Savings discount will be automatically deducted from the register total. No paper coupons to clip, save, download, or keep track of.
Can I use Instant Savings more than once?
Typically NO, but it depends on the offer. Usage limits for Instant Savings are clearly stated in the Instant Savings offer listing.
What happens to the Instant Savings when it is redeemed?
Once the Instant Savings offer is applied to a purchase, it is immediately removed from your Membership account.
What happens if I try to purchase an Instant Savings item before the available date or past the ISB expiration date?
Because these are special limited time offers, Instant Savings cannot be redeemed before the available date or past the expiration date.
Where are Instant Savings accepted?
Currently, Instant Savings are accepted at all U.S. Sam’s Clubs excluding Puerto Rico and are subject to club availability.
I purchased an Instant Savings item but didn’t receive the discount. What happened?
This could be due to a number of reasons: The Instant Savings has expired; the Instant Savings is not active; issues at the register/club level, or the Instant Savings has already been redeemed by another Cardholder on your Membership account.
How do I know if an Instant Savings offer was applied to my purchase?
The Instant Savings item and discount amount will be listed on your receipt and can also be checked through your online account or using the app.
How is sales tax calculated on Instant Savings?
Sales tax is calculated based upon the laws governing the jurisdiction of the purchase. In most cases, sales tax is paid upon the gross sale price of the item. Check with your state tax laws for further information.
What happens if my club is out of stock on an Instant Savings item?
Product availability for Instant Savings redemption is on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability based on regional or distribution restrictions. There are no rain checks or time extensions on Instant Savings. You should check another Sam’s Club location or SamsClub.com for additional item availability.
Can Instant Savings be redeemed on SamsClub.com?
Instant Savings are redeemable in-Club and online. Some Instant Savings are also redeemable online, based on the item’s availability for redemption.
Can Instant Savings be redeemed through the Curbside Pickup service?
Absolutely!
What is the refund policy on purchases where an Instant Savings was used?
Products that are returned for a refund that had an Instant Savings applied to it will follow the same rules as indicated in the Sam’s Club Refund Policy. The only difference is that you will be credited the net amount of the item purchased (i.e., the price minus the Instant Savings amount).
If a Membership card is reported lost or stolen – are the Instant Savings lost?
NO, Instant Savings remain on the account. The Member will need to visit the Membership Desk to get a replacement card for that account; once a card number is reported as lost or stolen, it will no longer be loaded with Instant Savings.
Signup & Enrollment
Do I have to register for the Instant Savings program?
There is no registration required to redeem Instant Savings, however, some promotions do require you to perform certain steps to receive the offer, such as provide an email address or click on a link provided by Sam’s Club.
Are there any applications or software required to use Instant Savings?
Instant Savings are automatically loaded to your Membership account and do not require any special software or applications to check the account or redeem.
Note: You must download the Sam’s Club Mobile App to view Instant Savings on your Android or iPhone.
How do I ensure that I will receive emails for Instant Savings?
You can edit your communication preferences on your online account at SamsClub.com.
How do I check to see if my email address on file is correct?
You can check your account profile details on SamsClub.com or at the Member Services Desk in any Club.
What if I am having trouble accessing SamsClub.com? Is there another way to access or manage my Instant Savings?
The only ways to see your offers is via SamsClub.com or by using the mobile app.
How do I log in and access my Instant Savings account on SamsClub.com?
From the home page of SamsClub.com, click the “Sign in” link in the Member Sign-in box on the right side of the page. Next, select the Your Account > Instant Savings tabs.
How do I log in and access my Instant Savings account on the Mobile App?
Once the free app is downloaded, Members can log into their account with the same login information used for SamsClub.com.
How do I get a copy of the Instant Savings Book or request to receive it via direct mail?
