How do I get my membership card?

You have instant access to your digital membership card as soon as you join. It’s in the Sam’s Club app, so there’s no need for a physical card to start shopping.

 

How to find your digital membership card.

  • Download the Sam’s Club app and set up your account. You’ll need your membership number handy – you can find it in your account page, in the confirmation email from the day you joined, on the back of your physical membership card (if you have one) and on the temporary membership receipt you were given when you joined in the club
  • In the app, click on “Account” in the bottom menu, then click on the barcode at the top to open your digital membership card

How do I get a physical membership card?

  • Membership cards are not mailed after joining. We’re trying to reduce our footprint on the planet, and you can help! By downloading the app and using your digital card, we can limit our use of plastic
  • If you joined online, you can start shopping right away with your digital membership card in the Sam’s Club app. All you have to do is log in
  • If you’d still like a physical card, you can request one at the Member Service Desk during your next club visit. You’ll need your membership number and a government-issued ID to pick up your card
  • If you’re renewing your membership, you will not receive a new membership number or require a new card
  • If you upgraded to Plus, you’ll get a new membership number and will have the option to pick up a Plus membership card at the Member Service Desk. Or, you may continue to use your current membership card – it’s automatically updated to your Plus level status
  • If you need to replace a lost, stolen or damaged card, visit us at the Member Service Desk. Just bring your membership number and government-issued ID. Or, even better, download the Sam’s Club app and never worry about losing your membership card again
  • If your club is out of physical cards, you can use your digital membership card in the Sam’s Club app and check back with the desk on your next visit

 

Where do I find my membership number?

  • In your confirmation email
  • In your online account on SamsClub.com
  • On the temporary membership receipt you were given when you joined in the club
  • On the back of your physical membership card
  • On your digital membership card in the Sam’s Club app (click “Account” in the bottom menu)

When do I use my membership card?

  • To check out in the club and purchase Sam’s Club fuel
  • If you’re using Scan & Go™ checkout, you’re already signed in and won’t need to present your card

 

What do I do if my membership card was lost or stolen?

  • Report a lost or stolen card immediately by visiting us at the Member Service Desk in the club or by contacting us
  • If credit was attached to the card, please contact Credit Services to report the issue and have the credit line transferred to your new membership number
    • Consumer Credit (PLCC): Accounts begin with 7714. Call 800-964-1917 (Spanish Option #5)
    • Business Credit (BRC): Accounts begin with 7715. Call 800-203-5764 (Spanish Option #5)
    • Sam’s Club® Mastercard®: Accounts begin with 5213. Call 866-220-0254
    • Sam’s Club® Business Mastercard®: Accounts begin with 5560. Call 866-220-2760
  • Once a membership card has been reported lost or stolen, the card can no longer be used
  • You must visit your local club to receive a new card or use your digital membership card in the app. Be sure to have your membership number and a photo ID handy
  • If you find someone else’s membership card, please take it to the Member Service Desk at your nearest Sam’s Club or your nearest Walmart
