Sam's Club Fuel Center Details

 

Do I have to be a Member?

Yes—most of our fuel stations are restricted to “Members Only”, and you must have a valid Membership to purchase fuel. However, a small number of our fuel stations are also open to the general public. These locations are either co-located with a Walmart Store or are required by law to be open for public use. At these stations we offer a .05¢ discount for Members and Walmart+ users with the exception of New Jersey which does not allow the discounting of fuel for Membership.

Pay at the pumps using Scan & Go

 

Looking for the price of gas at your club or to check if a club has a fuel station?

—Hover over your home club to see gas prices.  Use the Sam's Club Finder to find club locations, gas pricing and various other club services.

  2. Search for a club using your zip code or city and state
  3. Select/click the preferred club location to view details about that club's services
  4. Just below the club info (club#, hours, address, phone, etc.) and [Make this your club] button, find pricing for gasoline by fuel type
    • If there is no "Gas prices" section, your club may not have a fuel center, check the "Services at your club" section to confirm

  • The Walmart stores credit card is accepted at Sam's Club gas stations

  • Make a fuel purchase using Sam's Cash by cashing out and purchase a preloaded gift card to use at the pumps

 

Hold on your card after Fuel Purchase:

When paying at the pumps, you will notice a hold on your purchasing card; this industry standard is applied at all gas stations when using debit or credit cards (amount may vary). Credit/Debit cards have a $100 - $150 pre-authorization (varies by state) that occurs to ensure funds are available for the entire fuel purchase, since we don't know how much fuel will be dispensed and it cannot be returned.

This pre-authorization hold is typically removed and replaced with the actual purchase amount in 24-36 hours. If a hold from your fuel purchase lasts longer than 36 hours, please contact your financial institution (number on back of your purchasing card) to inquire about the hold and having it removed.

If you wish to purchase $100 or more of fuel in a single transaction, you can do so by using a gift card.

 

Standard fuel center hours are:

Monday - Saturday:  6am—9pm

Sunday:  9am—7pm

 

Sam's Club Car Washes:

Sam's Club currently offers car wash services in 41 clubs, see attachment for car wash locations.

—PRICING: All members pay $7 per car wash unless your location is running a promo.

 

What to do if you receive an error at the Fuel Pumps?

If your membership card or Credit/Debit Card is not accepted at our pumps, please immediately notify the Fuel Station Attendant or the Membership Desk inside the club. Try using another pump and if your card is still declined, you should contact your financial institution about your card. You can also try using a different payment method or download the Sam's Club app and pay at the pump using Scan & Go.

NOTE: Walmart gift cards can be used at Sam's Club fuel stations, but there is no way to scan barcode only gift cards at the pumps. You can use a gift card with a magnetic strip for fuel purchases.
