Voicemod Sing-to-Sing AI technology

We last wrote about AI speech and singing startup Voicemod in March when it was awarded ‘Fairly Trained’ certification – denoting AI models that have secured consent for the datasets used to train them.

Now the company is hoping to spread its ‘Sing-to-Sing’ AI technology into more services from other startups via a software development kit (SDK).

The tech enables people to alter their singing voices: pitch, timbre and tuning included. Voicemod said that it sees a variety of applications for this: “in casual and professional music-making, to interactive concerts and sing-alongs on platforms like Fortnite, Roblox or anywhere online where music and voice play a pivotal role”.

The company’s own Windows and Mac app has been downloaded more than 45m times, but the new SDK sees it expanding its B2B activities.

“We’re excited to see how creators will incorporate Sing-to-Sing AI technology into their products, whether it’s to express themselves, enhance karaoke, or support interactive musical events online,” said CEO Jaime Bosch.
