Lead Full Stack Developer

Are you a technology leader passionate about software design and development and have experience developing projects in a collaborative, agile team environment? The CoCounsel Drafting team is looking to add a robust Lead Fullstack Developer, where you will contribute to the design and delivery of critical public-facing applications.

Join our team! This position requires an experienced Software Development professional to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and drive software solutions. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will also guide junior software engineers by reviewing the code and encouraging them to enhance their technical skills.

About The Role

In this opportunity as Lead Full stack Developer, you will:

  • Collaborate efficiently and effectively to accomplish tasks on the desired timeline.
  • Learn and apply new business and technical concepts quickly.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring design and architecture are aligned with the project strategy, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in all aspects of the agile process, from story creation through release.
  • Design, develop, test, and deliver application features that delight customers.
  • Contribute non-functional requirements to projects to achieve long-term application health and stability.
  • Understand and apply current development practices.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and use this knowledge to bring new innovative ideas to the group.
  • Support Production applications as needed to prevent service interruptions and maintain high quality for our customers.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with colleagues.
  • Mentor junior engineers to sustain a high level of development standards.
  • Effectively manage your priorities and time.
  • Present technical concepts and proposals with business and technical audiences in a way that resonates with them.
  • Tackle the largest technical challenges facing the team.


About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related
  • 5+ years of Fullstack experience using Front End technologies (React/Angular), Back End technologies (C#, .NET Core), cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), or other core languages and cloud technologies across the technology industry.
  • Experience using Agile Methodologies – Scrum.
  • Experience with version control systems, primarily Git.
  • Knowledgeable in building microfrontend (MFE) applications.
  • Expert design skills, including knowledge of core libraries and common design patterns.
  • Ability to write clean, readable code that is easy to understand.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and translate requirements from business partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - to communicate effectively with technical staff, Business Analysts, Management, and business team members)


Desired Experience:

  • Strong Front-end React knowledge and experience.
  • Server-side programming technologies experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience.
  • Experience leading design discussions in addition to hands-on development.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and translating requirements from business partners.
