There are two ways of joining a P2 workspace that you’ve been invited to.
Invite email
If you’re invited to join a workspace, you will receive an email similar to this:
Click on ‘Accept’ to continue. You will be taken to WordPress.com, where one of these things will happen:
- If you have a WordPress.com account and you’re logged in, you’ll be asked to confirm. Simple click ‘Join’ and you’ll join the workspace. It usually takes a couple of seconds, and you’ll be taken to the workspace’s homepage.
- If you’re logged out, you can log in to your WordPress.com account, or create a new one. In either case, follow the instructions until you get to the screen where you can click ‘Join’. After that, you’ll join the workspace and arrive to the homepage.
Invite link
You can also join a workspace via invite link. An invite link is a URL that allows you to join a P2 workspace directly, without having to receive an invite email. It’s generally used when you’re invited along other team members, to make the onboarding faster.
Simply visit the URL. You’ll see a confirmation screen if you’re logged in, or an option to log in (or create a WordPress.com account) if you’re not. In any case, click the ‘Join’ button to confirm and join the workspace when you have the opportunity.
Guests
You may be invited to join a specific P2 as a guest — this means you’ll be able to access that P2, but not the rest of the the workspace. The instructions to accept the invitation and join it are the same, in any case.
