The National Cartoonists Society, of which I am a longtime member and a past president, just released a fun kid’s activity book as part of their “Cartooning for Kids” program. Originally this was going to be a printed book that the NCS would have available for schools, kids organization and for our children’s hospital visits, but the coronavirus scuttled all that. Here’s my sketch of Snoop Dogg… he’s got a great face to caricature. Snoop has a long, lean headshape but his eyes are very far apart… they almost seem to touch the outsides of his head. With a more serious expression he has sharp, high cheekbones, but when he does his wide stoner’s grin like this he has small, round “cherry tomato” cheeks that overpower the cheekbones. He also has a very lean jawline and a small chin. Finally he has big, heavy eyelids and a strong brow.
