Singaporean fans of the hit period drama Downton Abbey will be among the first lucky few in the world to step into replicas of the grand dining room, Lady Mary's bedroom and Mrs Patmore's bustling kitchen, at an immersive touring exhibition that opens today at Marina Bay Sands (MBS).

Plus Mawr is an Elizabethan townhouse dating from the 16th century. The property was built by Robert Wynn, a member of the local gentry, following his marriage to his first wife, Dorothy Griffith (she had the money). After many years of neglect and a multiplicity of uses, the house was taken over by the Welsh heritage agency Cadw and many of the rooms restored to resemble their condition in 1665. The original architecture is unusually intact.
