My jewelry making techniques sort of go in binges. A lot of that has to do with my teaching schedule. For example, last month I had two workshops teaching enameling so I definitely had some quality time with my kiln (which I've decided is rather nice in winter).

Purple and blue torch fired enamel earrings made from vintage pennies. The earrings were made by sifting multiple layers of finely ground glass powder, with each layer fused onto the copper using a hand held torch reaching about 1500 degrees F. The backs of the earrings are not enameled, allowing the vintage penny to be seen. The ear wires are hand made from sterling silver with a copper bead accent, and come with silicone backings.
