I don't think she could even sit up yet, but I remember noticing that my daughter would watch another baby's reaction after she snatched a toy from him. I know she didn't do it to make the other child unhappy... but I felt like maybe I could help her understand that her actions had an affect on other people by talking about how the other baby felt sad, and offering a solution.

Preschool Emotions theme: toddlers used different art tools to paint and decorate large poster sized emotion faces! We associated each different emotion with a different color...except we went a little silly with silly :) kids had fun and they created these posters during free art! We just let them have at it!

Social/Emotional Activity: Each child will create their own emotion face using bingo dobbers and paper plates. The teacher will assist in drawing the face on. Once the child is finished they will be asked to demonstrate which emotion they created. For example, "I see you made a mad face, show me YOU'RE made face" "SED27. The older infant expresses of a range of emotions expanding to include more complex emotions."
