The cliff

Many have heard of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, but these similar formations are the Aran Islands off of Galway, Ireland. I had to lay down at the cliff's edge and stick my camera out over the ledge to get the shot! We also hiked to the other end of this island and saw what looked like some rippable waves. Next time I'll have to bring some boards!

Cliffs of Moher, Ireland The cliffs are incredibly impressive in person but hard to capture adequately in photos. This is the best job I can do getting the sense of scale. Aside from the figures on the cliff head, you can see a tower in the distance, thought to date to Napoleonic era. The white spots in the cliff face are nesting gulls; one is flying in the lower right corner.
