“I’m quite cautious when I meet people,” says the Korean illustrator Byun Young Geun. “Even though I meet many people in person, in the end, I feel like I don’t really know them that well. However, through the images that she or he makes, I can see that person more clearly.”
Marie Doerfler (*1993 in Regensburg) is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Her illustrations are inspired by nature, the everyday and are created in a dialogue of digital and analogue techniques. In her work, she explores the connection between graphic structure and living line. With her work she wants to cause a pause, perception and reflection – with ourselves and what surrounds us.
