Gold griffin-headed bracelet typical of the Achaemenid Persian court style of the 5th to 4th century BC. The hollow spaces on the bracelet and in particular those on the griffin-head terminals were originally inlaid with precious stones, which were later removed. Found on the north bank of the Amu Darya River, which marks the Tadjikistan-Afghanistan border. October 4, 2012, Canon 7D.
