Played this game years ago. At the time, I got a new device and had to restart the game. There's no way to just load your game; you have to play through level 5 before you can sign in. If you pick the wrong option, the new level 5 save overwrites previous progress. Unfortunately, I forgot about this with it being several years later, so I saved over my game. Old apps like this are usually trying to "grow" by reattracting former players. This issue is pretty severe for that.

Update: Minor issues. Restart game usually solves the glitches temporarily. Thank you! Overall this game is decent for puzzle, strategy, mental stimulation, and escaping the chaos of the real world. The issues I do have is the lack of option to not enter discounted Wheel Spin after a Free Spin. Another is the lettering, numbers, and descriptions will disappear often on the main screens. I can submit screen shots if need be. Not sure if it's a My Device Issue. Sometimes it works perfectly.

At one time this was a great game. Even free to play players could make progress and occasionally win rare characters. Regrettably Jam City, true to form, has gradually made it more and more difficult participate in the game without a significant monthly cost. As a long time player who is uninstalling the game my advice is to find another game to play.
