Parmesan Feta Spinach Dip

This is the best party dip! And it’s a big party dip — it serves a crowd, but you can always cut the recipe in half for a smaller group. It’s creamy and cheesy, thick and satisfying, and a gorgeous green color from the spinach. The feta adds brininess, and the Parmesan adds a deep nutty flavor. It is the perfect room-temperature dip for anything from a tailgate to a game-watching party to a cookout.

If you are looking for an old-school dip to serve or bring to your next party, this Parmesan feta spinach dip recipe is the one. Serve it with crackers, crudites, or slices of toasted baguette or grilled bread. A Classic Holiday and Party Dip

This spinach and cheese dip induces nostalgia for all classic creamy dips, and I am going to offer to bring it to every holiday gathering I get invited to (and there may be a correlation between how many things I get invited to and how confident the host is that I am bringing this dip). I am a hot dip aficionado of the highest order, but there is something to be said for a regular old cold dip and a classic one at that.

The spinach and feta combo definitely has Greek vibes, especially with the addition of the dill and lemon. All in all, this dip has a Mediterranean flavor profile. But with the addition of sour cream and cream cheese, it becomes a very classic American dip, creamy and dunkable.

Spinach and Cheese Dip Ingredients

You can garnish the dip with extra chopped scallions or shopped fresh chives if you like.

  • Cream cheese – Make sure to bring it to room temperature so it blends nicely into the dip.
  • Sour cream – Adds a tangy, smooth creaminess.
  • Feta cheese – Adds a lift of salty, briny flavor.
  • Parmesan cheese – Gives the dip a savory depth.
  • Scallions – Give the dip an onion-y flavor reminiscent of sour cream and onion dip.
  • Dill – The herby flavor of fresh dill really brightens up the flavor.
  • Lemon juice – Brightens up the whole dip.
  • Cayenne pepper – A little subtle spice.
  • Spinach – Use fresh, not frozen. It has a completely different texture and water content.
  • Vegetables, sliced toasted bread, or crackers to serve

How to Make Parmesan, Feta, and Spinach Dip

  1. Chop the spinach.
  2. Blend: Add the remaining ingredients to a food processor, along with the spinach, and blend until it reaches your desired texture. Leave it running for a very smooth dip.
  3. Serve: Serve it with vegetables and crackers. You can REALLY hit the nostalgia button hard if you go for Ritz crackers or those Toll House Butter crackers.

Kitchen Smarts

Chop the copious amount of spinach either with a large knife and a cutting board or in a food processor in batches before you start blending the dip. It will shrink down once blended with the creamier ingredients.

Make Ahead

You can make this dip up to 3 days ahead of time and keep it tightly sealed in the fridge. The resting time will actually help the dip become for flavorful. Give it a stir before transferring it to a serving bowl.

This looks delicious, thank you. How much spinach is called for? I don’t see it in the recipe.
