77% of companies are either using or exploring the use of AI in their business, but what about using AI to deal with tasks that require emotional intelligence? Charley Ross explores what that means in practise in her latest article for The AllBright Post: 📌 By 2026, the combined market size of conversational AI and emotion detection are predicted to grow to more than $55 billion. 📌 “Through data analysis and feedback mechanisms, AI systems can provide individuals with insights into their communication styles, emotional triggers, and interpersonal dynamics.” - Elle Mace, positive psychology coach 📌 Research found that using AI to assess and optimise emotional intelligence in the workplace could lead to issues and inconsistencies that can’t be ignored. For instance, a study found that AI responsible for emotional analysis assigns more negative emotions to specific ethnicities than others. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/e-a8YFxj

In her latest newsletter to our community, our CEO Viviane Paxinos reflects on her learnings from our Live Well Festival and explores how to strengthen connections in a fast-paced world. She shares: ➡️ When we’re under consistent pressure, taking care of and being gentle with ourselves in this way can feel like a daunting task. ➡️ Networking, listening, and advising others on leadership is something I talk about daily, and I believe these connections can only be valuable when we are giving ourselves the grace of understanding our limits and boundaries. ➡️ Until we reach this level of enlightenment about ourselves, our connections can never be as deep as they are when we’re taking our own needs into account. ➡️ Last year, I decided to make a change by incorporating mindfulness practices, regular exercise, and healthy eating habits into my routine, I noticed a significant improvement in my cognitive performance and overall well-being. This shift not only benefited me personally, but also had a ripple effect on the people around me. Sign up to our newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/edRgnP6M

Ahead of England's performance at this year's Mens Euros final, Gareth Southgate has rightly received much praise for the achievements of the team under his leadership. However, that praise does not need to mean erasure for the Lionesses and their massive achievements under Sarina Wiegman in the past few years, which includes their Euro's win in 2022 🏆 Read more about how players and fans are fact-checking social media posts on the subject and encouraging inclusiveness and allyship: https://lnkd.in/eTBH4bDY

A record number of women MPs have been elected to parliament and Keir Starmer has just announced that 46% of his cabinet will be women. This means he will have a higher proportion of women in his first cabinet than any of his predecessors, including Blair (22%) and Brown (32%). The appointment of Rachel Reeves as the first woman Chancellor is historic. While we know equal representation is a pivotal element in getting issues that impact women front and centre of the political sphere, we know this is just the beginning.

With a landslide victory in the general election, the UK will now have a Labour Government. We’ve rounded up all the pledges Labour set out for working women during their campaign. While we are encouraged by some of the measures set out, we want to highlight the fact that mothers still earn 43% less than fathers, according to Pregnant Then Screwed, and the gender pay gap is still closing at a glacial pace which means there is a long way to go, with many women still feeling “despondent.” Labour's Pledges: 🔺 Strengthen protections for pregnant women by making it unlawful to dismiss them for six months after their return. 🔺Ensure the minimum wage is a real living wage to help narrow the pay gap. 🔺 Establish 3,000 new nursery classes in England, introduce free breakfast clubs in all primary schools, and extend 'free' childcare to children from nine months old. 🔺Prevent outsourcing from being used to avoid paying equal wages for equal work, ending this injustice. 🔺Reverse the Conservatives’ attack on equal pay by protecting the ability to use equal pay comparators. 🔺Require large firms to develop, publish, and implement action plans to close gender pay gaps. 🔺Mandate employers with over 250 employees to create Menopause Action Plans to support employees through menopause.
