Bristol Myers Squibb is a leader in oncology, with a commitment to advancing cancer care and empowering patients to take control of their treatment.   Earlier this year, our UK and Ireland oncology medical team partnered with Health Service Journal to organise a peer-to-peer roundtable meeting, bringing together lung cancer experts with the aim of addressing the unwarranted variation in management of patients undergoing multimodal curative intent lung cancer treatment.   Chaired by Professor Matthew Evison, a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (Thoracic Oncology), the expert panel consisted of chest physicians, medical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, pathologists, a clinical nurse specialist, and a representative from Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.   The ‘Curative-intent, multi-modality treatment for non-small cell lung cancer’ thought piece shares the experts’ key takeaways, examples of best practice, and discusses ambitions for the lung cancer pathway.   Visit our website to read Professor Evison’s key takeaway and to download the full thought piece: https://lnkd.in/dPwA-QD6   This non promotional project was initiated and funded by Bristol Myers Squibb.   #BMSUK #LungCancer #NSCLC

We recently welcomed Dr john bolodeoku to discuss how championing clinical trial diversity in the UK is important to ensure a medicine’s efficacy, tolerability, and safety are fully understood before it is recommended for use, thereby helping to create greater #HealthEquity for all. We are incredibly proud of our colleague Gabriela Rebreanu, who competed on the world stage at the Handball World Cup in Omis, Croatia.    Representing Ireland under the name Celtic Legends, Gabriela and her team came in at 4th place.     Gabriela’s passion for Olympic Handball started at the age of 10 and her passion for our colleague’s health is seen every day in her role as Occupational Health Lead. We have a long history of working with the NHS and believe this latest guidance will enhance our industry’s ability to partner with the health system. Fostering collaborative opportunities is crucial to helping provide the best possible support to patients and other stakeholders.
