We are delighted to have led My Emissions’ seed round, with support from Love Ventures. My Emissions is tackling the huge and complex challenge of food industry emissions. Their platform is the best we've seen at helping food companies calculate, reduce and communicate their carbon footprint. They also offer a simple carbon label, which gives a carbon rating from A to E so people can make more informed choices. The founders Matthew Isaacs and Nathan Bottomley have recently been listed in Forbes 30u30, and we're excited to help them and the team scale My Emissions across the food sector. The first time we met Shane Lowe and Alex Haslehurst, we loved their vision of reducing musculoskeletal pain. This is a truly human problem on a global scale and Vitrue Health has the potential to impact millions and millions of people. It’s better to understand and reduce, or avoid, MSK pain before it hurts than treat it as it occurs (which at some point it will – at this moment, over 60% of desk workers have some back or neck pain). This is amazing for individual users, but it is also great for their employers, who can feel proud that they are looking after their employees and actively improving their health. This is the second time we have supported Shane and Alex, and we are delighted to have done so alongside MMC Ventures, Simplyhealth, Chris Bruce, and Crista Galli Ventures. We’re delighted to be working with such a great group of investors in our latest round. The past couple of years have been an amazing journey from building our first prototypes to having lowered pain for tens of thousands of users across 27 countries. The stats behind MSK pain are pretty staggering: 🎒 62% of desk workers in the UK are living with some form of musculoskeletal issues like neck and back pain 💊 24% of all health related absences from work are due to MSK pain equating to 30 million work days per year in the UK alone 💻 The average pain level is 3.5/10 which is proven to equate to huge productivity losses 🏡 Pain incidence is 11% higher in remote teams than in office workers If you’re reading this on a phone or laptop, there’s a very strong chance that you’ve experienced it yourself. We’re delighted to be working with so many amazing employers to help reduce pain in their teams. We’re grateful to our fantastic investors (both existing and new) for backing us and helping us towards our mission of reducing pain for millions of people. We were extremely keen to include investors with deep expertise across digital health and employer wellbeing and that’s exactly what we’ve done.
