Did you know that 50.9% and 75.5% of collision involving injury or death happen 4km and 10km from the driver’s garaging address, respectively. This makes RedOptima's Area Risk Score - a metric delivering highly predictive geographic risk rating factors around a locus of operation - all the more relevant and potent for auto insurers, for both personal and commercial, to better manage their High Cost Low Frequency Bodily Injury motor events. The RedOptima use cases and applications for the Road and Traffic Authority/Local Government market is seemingly endless. The quote below is from a Highways Manager who completed one of our pilots. This was part of the business case to approve a direct award for a three-year subscription to the RedOptima technology.

More than half (57.1%) of collisions occur within just 5km of a driver's home. statistically speaking, we spend a lot of time traversing the roads near home which increases the likelihood of collisions. The data below outlines this phenomena. RedOptima's unique product solves for this through its Area Risk Score (ARS) for motor insurers. The ARS objectively and consistently consumes 60+ geographic rating factors which delivers risk scores from any locus of operation up to 10kms out. 10kms from a locus of operation covers 75.5% of the collisions that occur. By harnessing RedOptima's ARS, insurers are precisely addressing High Cost Low Frequency bodily injury losses which is typically elusive and difficult to predict.

As January draws to a close, we thought it'd be nice to celebrate our successes a bit more. We're very pleased with some of the feedback we've been getting lately from our Highways Authority clients which is testament to not only our product but our ethos in working closely with the client to make them successful with our technology through guidance, upskilling, and support.

RedOptima is 3/4 as predictive of the gold standard, Driver Age, in accurately predicting High Cost Low Frequency events involving bodily injury or death. We are more than doubly predictive than the best of the often employed demographic predictors from income banding to pedestrian and VRU traffic collisions used by automotive insurers and some risk pools.

We prioritise accurately predicting High Cost, Low Frequency (HCLF) events— statistically rare scenarios with significant financial impact. RedOptima's technology for the insurance sector helps insurers pinpoint elusive and sparse yet costly events that result in bodily injury or death. RedOptima has a 80%+ predictive power in accurately identifying locations and policies which are at higher risk likelihood of experiencing HCLF claims.

We're delighted to have completed a full network wide and historical assessment of underlying collision risk likelihood for one of our clients, who are also subscribed to our data analytics platform. This report will form the basis and source of intelligence for a wider road safety and transportation plan for this London Borough. We first highlighted how overall physical risk has changed over time from 2011-2021, with further views on select influence factors like Night Light Infrastructure change and Propensity to Speed. We also identified high risk locations beyond the traditional reactive STATS19 process, along with delivering further granular insights on existing cluster locations. #visionzero
