We’re feeling energised post a couple of days in the Netherlands at Towards Halving Food Waste in Europe. The conference brought together representatives from companies, public and scientific organisations, and civil society with high ambitions of halving food waste by 2030. The only way we will achieve Sustainable Development Goal 12.3 is by coming together to eliminate food waste at all levels in the supply chain. A special thank you to our IKEA friends Cihan Kökler Jan Douw and the team at IKEA Eindhoven - as part of the programme we paid them a visit to learn first hand how they manage food waste, supported by Winnow’s AI measurement tools. IKEA announced they had cut food waste in half across all 400+ of their stores worldwide in 2022 - well ahead of the UN's global goal. Here’s to collective action, sharing knowledge, and inspiring others to halve food waste by 2030!
