    WP5.2.x / PHP 7.2.x template – VICE (themeforest.net).
website is [ redundant link removed ]
The website is continually redirecting to badly formed urls back to homepage.
We have rebuilt the website from scratch a couple of times now, same problem of redirection. New everything, WP download, new updated theme, used only theme plugins and only critical security plugins. just to be sure.

When we visit the website and choose about-us (as an example) the website redirects to /?about-us%2F – which effectively loops back to the homepage. No matter which link was used we get the same effect.
We have a stripped down rebuild version of the website, running at the present – for debugging.
We spoken to theme authors (nice chaps, very touchy about their theme though, lol).
They say its not their theme, we have tried changing theme, renaming the plugins sub directory, each had no effect on the issue.

I can provide login details, but even that’s messes up.
I have control panel details if that might help.
Any help would be a bonus as were stuck – rebuilding from scratch again.

  • I would do the most basic check:

    • Deactivate all plugins.
    • Switch to Twenty nineteen default theme
    • Clear browser cache

Then re-check if issue is still reproducible. If not anymore, it has something to do with one of your plugins or themes. You can then enable them one at a time, to see what plugin/theme is causing it.

If the issue is still reproducible even with all plugins deactivated and themes switch to default. Try resetting your permalink to default and check your .htaccess to see if something is added there that is customized.

Beyond this, if it appears normal I might contact hosting support for any ideas.

Please do not. Anyone asking for that from you or accepting that will probably get their account banned from this site. You would not give your hose keys to a complete stranger and please do not offer that here.
