Every year, the experts at the Pantone Color Institute select a hue that will encompass and define the ensuing 12 months. For 2024—which also marks the 25th anniversary of this color tradition—Pantone has awarded Peach Fuzz as the Pantone Color of the Year. Otherwise known as PANTONE 13-1023, Peach Fuzz is a warm and cozy shade that falls in between pink and orange. “PANTONE 12-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others,” Pantone Color Institute Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman said in a statement. “It’s a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul."

Pantone experts arrived to this decision after studying trends on the runway, in interior design, across pop culture, and within human psychology. Not to mention, Eisman noted that since we’re in a time of turmoil, we've all been craving a color that elicits serenity and familiarity while facilitating a sense of community. “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance,” Eisman shared. “A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”

Choose Punchy RSVP Cards

Along with your invitations, your RSVP cards will be the very first element related to your wedding that your guests will interact with. So, what better way to introduce your upcoming color palette than this piece of stationery? Using a shade of peach as the background of these cards and their respective envelopes will get everyone excited for the festivities ahead (so they'll have no other choice but to check "yes!"). Since Peach Fuzz is brimming with nostalgia, it's a perfect pick for a retro celebration, complete with eye-catching shades of lavender and chartreuse.

Dress Your Wedding Party in the Hue

With a light and airy feel, Peach Fuzz is a stunning shade to select for your bridesmaids’ attire, especially if you’re tying the knot outdoors in the spring or summer. While you can definitely prescribe the singular hue for your crew’s gowns, incorporating other complementary shades, like beige, apricot, or rose, will allow for more individuality and intrigue.

Carry a Vibrant Bouquet

Walking down the aisle with an assortment of Peach Fuzz-filled blooms in hand will undoubtedly enhance your attire. Whether you're saying "I do" in a springtime garden fête or a beachy summer bash, this warm shade will bring a romantic, soft, and elegant feel to your outfit—and your service. An all-peach bouquet is always an option, but hints of cream and pink will coordinate with the peachy hue without overshadowing it.

Embrace Statement-Making Florals

In addition to your bouquet, why not embed Peach Fuzz into the rest of your ceremony's floral arrangements. Lining your aisle and covering your arch in the creamy pink-orange tint will create a garden-like feel while imbuing your service with a romantic flair. If you decide to make peach the focal point of these arrangements, turn to shades of purple and pink for secondary colors.

Create a Color-Focused Backdrop

If you're thinking about forgoing the classic floral arch in favor of something more creative, consider a colorful backdrop. Overlapping arched panels in shades of Peach Fuzz will definitely be the main moment at your ceremony. You can doctor these up in any way that you deem fit for your aesthetic: Accompany the statement decoration with pampas grass and geometric rugs for bohemian soirées or plant monstera leaves for tropical affairs.

Add a Pop to Your Bar

Your signage is another fun way to employ Peach Fuzz at your wedding. Considering printing your signature cocktails and other standard beverages in a white font color on a rich peach background for a playful pop. Then, supplement the sign with vases of peach, pink, and yellow flowers to maintain a cohesive look and feel. Bonus points if you serve a peach-colored cocktail, like an Aperol spritz.
