Coronavirus Resources

COVID-19 is a national public health crisis affecting North Carolina and Charlotte. See below for information about current restrictions, impacts to our region and ways to support the local community.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Throughout the pandemic, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) closely monitored recommendations and actions coming from the local, state and federal levels in order to guide decision-making about health protocols and practices. The CRVA continues to do so as the health and safety of our team members, clients and guests is always a top priority.

The CRVA is working diligently in partnership with others to support the local restaurants, shops, attractions and other hospitality-related businesses that are essential to the quality of life we all know and love in the Queen City.

The Mecklenburg County mask mandate has been lifted as of Feb. 26, 2022. Masks are no longer required at our venues, however, requirements may vary on an event-by-event basis.

COVID vaccines are safe and effective and are our best shot at getting life back to normal. Visit the CDC website for up-to-date information and resources. It is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to wear face coverings indoors in areas of substantial or high transmission, even if you are full vaccinated.

CLT AIRPORT

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport has implemented safety measures throughout the gate and terminal areas, including more than 60 hand sanitizer dispensers in the terminals, as well as plexiglass barriers at TSA check-in, ticket counters and store counters. Charlotte Douglas has earned Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ Facility Accreditation, recognizing that CLT has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention in its facilities. Also, American Airlines, which serves approximately 150 destinations from CLT, is the first airline to achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation for its entire fleet of aircraft and Admirals Club lounges. Get the airport’s full list of procedures at cltairport.com.

No matter how you get here, there's a safe and stress-free way to get around Charlotte. Our transportation partners are working diligently to implement the safety measures in place by the CDC and Mecklenburg County Health Department.
