The experience was good. I went there for a weekday lunch and there was barely no people dining in. The chicken and fish tasted good. I asked for extra spicy, but it is still just medium level for me. The portion was good for price of $20. The vegetable (family style tofu) was okay. I was not very impressive with the flavor, and apparently it used too much corn starch. The server was friendly and helpful. Would be a choice for work lunch - they did offer lunch special as well.

Food is great, not sure authentic as I am not from China. Service was good too. We were seated pretty quick. The waiter was quite friendly. The ambiance is great. My wife (a vegetarian) liked the tofu dish. My fish sizzler was pretty good as well. But if you are by yourself or a family of 2, then you have very limited choice of starter soup or appetizer. Especially if you have a vegetarian, no good choice of starter soup or appetizer at all. I did advise the waiter to consider that in future. If you are with a family of 3+, no problem. I was going to give 4 star, but decided to stick to 3 because of the reason above. Will visit when I have my family with 4+ people to join.

It is truly authentic Chinese food as one would say if you like American Chinese food then be prepared to try this out as it would be different. The Chinese peppercorns in some dishes certainly makes your mouth numb for sometime enjoy the tofu as it is very soft and tasty, the eggplant with garlic sauce is great as well we also enjoyed the beef with white rice overall I would say 8/10 on taste as I loved it.

Came here because of a recommendation. We got flaming beef and lamb plates. Each about $20. It's pretty authentic Sichuan style dish. Both plates tasted good. The wait time is short. Just the dishes are quite oily we both had an upset stomach after. Depending how well you are accustomed to this style, it may not happen to you. The vibe and atmosphere are nice. Menu pages are a lot. What I've included is not all of it. Probably take you many times to try everything on the menu.

Taste of SHU was exactly what I needed. Authentic Chinese dishes so rich in flavor; you'll lose your marbles. I couldn't believe I stumbled across this location. Well decorated on the inside. Staff was present. Service was extremely speedy. My only complaint is the pricing. The cheapest dishes seem to be around $14/15 and it continued to increase from there. Pretty expensive if you ask me. Other than that I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Personally, I would return!
