As a Test Program Leader at Consumer Reports, Joan Muratore heads testing of baby and child products such as strollers, cribs, and high chairs for safety, performance, and ease of use. She also manages testing for home products including water filters and oversees sensory evaluations for health products including sunscreen and insect repellent. In her role she develops lab tests and ensures they meet industry standards. She has more than 36 years of experience at CR.
Joan is also a member of ASTM International’s committee F15, which sets voluntary safety standards for juvenile products including cribs, strollers, high chairs, bassinets and many others.
Joan has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Manhattan College.
