As a Survey Research Associate at Consumer Reports, Lisa Pao creates questions for and analyzes data from CR’s monthly nationally-representative surveys and quarterly omnibus member surveys.
Lisa has extensive research experience and expertise in survey methodologies, data analysis, and experimental design. Prior to CR, she was Director of Research at Authentic Connections Co., where she collaborated with middle and high schools across the U.S. to create, deploy, and analyze data from customized scientifically-validated surveys measuring student mental health in relation to risk and protective factors in their home and school environments.
Lisa has a B.A. in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University, an M.A. in Cognitive Studies in Education from Columbia University Teachers College, and a Ph.D. in Psychology and Education from Columbia.
