From my experience, I have learned that emotional intelligence (EI) is fundamental for leading and motivating our teams. As OCC Manager, whenever we faced a significant contingency, I relied on EI. Instead of succumbing to stress, I remained calm and used empathy to communicate with the teams in charge, explaining possible solutions and steps to follow, thus conveying calmness and confidence. This not only helped reduce tension but also strengthened trust and collaboration among everyone. The use of EI allows us to handle critical situations effectively, improve the customer experience, and leverage our teams' diversity. In our dynamic environment, EI is not just an advantage; it is a necessity.
