The most safest ways is to have a hard copy of the presentation by your side to come you in good stead. One shockingly intersting example I would like to share! One boss asked his secretary to keep his pen drive ready with presentation loaded. Secretary did the job and boss was on his way to present. When he inserted pen drive, nothing was forthcoming. Boss was simply dazed for he overly depended on his pen drive. You can imagine the fate of that poor secretary! Presentation is not what you present, but you are presenting yourself by knowledge, articulation and your character and demeanor.

Firstly making sure I have pre-run the presentation, check all the equipment and keep a backup as well. During presentation, I will call for the technical department and meanwhile try to keep everyone engaged by encouraging them to ask questions and sharing insightful details on the topic. If everyone in the room has their laptop with them I will present via zoom. At the end if the system doesn't work I shall be ready to explain everything on a white board keeping in mind no one should feel they have wasted their time.
