275 million children. A staggering number living with the scars of domestic violence. We can't change the past, but we can rewrite the future. Donate, volunteer, raise your voice. Be the solution. #EndTheViolence #ProtectOurChildren

There are a multitude of different types of domestic violence advocates. Those that work primarily with the victim/survivor of abuse may offer counseling, help them find resources, or walk them through getting a restraining/protection order. There are other advocates that partner with agencies like the Department of Human Resources, Legal Aid, Community Corrections, and District Attorneys. Each organization's advocates are there to assist those experiencing abuse in their field. There is some overlap in services but it is great to have a full coordinated community response to advocacy.
